Nothing can save the WNBA.

Why? its a lesser product then the NBA.

As long as I know Nate Robinson could dominate that league, there isn't much you can do to get me to watch it.

Couldn't the same argument be made for [insanely popular] college football?

You mean that college football is a lesser product than the NFL, and Nate Robinson was very good in it, and that's why nobody should watch it?

College sports, IMO, are different than professional sports.

I guess you could say the WNBA is to the NBA as the CFL is to the NFL, but I still don't really think that's hitting it on the head.

Men typically don't seem to like watching womens sports as much as they like watching mens sports, and women typically don't seem to give as much of a crap about sports as men seem to, so I think that's mostly why the WNBA is failing. Also, why the womens version of the MLS failed (of course soccer in the US is a whole other deal).

I don't think so, I think it really is just an inferrior brand of basketball.  The only female sports that I really enjoy watching are Tennis and Golf.  I think Women's tennis is better because there is alot more back and forth rallys than in mens, and I just like watching any golf thats on.

If Candace Parker who is feminine, beautiful, explosive scorer, great personality...and can also dunk.

Can't save the WNBA then there is no way Brittney can!

Just saying.

tbh, why do people watch the NBA? Beside hardcore fans like us. I'm saying the newer generation of fans?

3 Reasons in my opinion

1. Bandwagons (OMG, this player/team is so good, I'm a fan, ie: Miami Heat fans, Linsanity, 2008 Celts, some Lakers fans etc)
2. Super Dunks, not the crappy ones you see. I mean the power dunks, 360s, Alley-Oop, Poster dunks (see Blake Griffin). OMG DID YOU SEE THAT DUNK, ITS SO COOL
3. 3s, OMG that guy can shoot from so far away

WNBA has none of those, maybe they can achieve dunks and alley-oops one day but I doubt it will happen anytime soon. And their 3 is short compare to the NBA, so no

I thought it was because folks loved the game of basketball and
enjoyed watching it played at its highest level.
