I agree with the OP.

Too much hero ball.

I don't know which OP you're referring to, but Kyrie is only a small part of the issue.

Yes, he's a little too ball dominant but this falls as much on Tatum's porous defense, Rozier's awful 3 point attempt and Brad proving he's an inept coach.

Might have been the OP of the thread of the same title that was locked.

If the OP doesn't like Kyrie then that's ok. It's his prerogative.

If the OP thinks we're going ANYWHERE without Kyrie, well -

I'll stay on the Kyrie bandwagon.

Ridiculous stuff-we need to find a way to build around him, or at least utilize him as a major piece in building a championship core.
Jaylen Brown for All-NBA

Now the #1 pairing on the team:

G. Hayward + K. Irving:   minutes played = 766:37   net rating = +7.4

The Celtics will be fine.

Another loss because the team thinks the last 3 minutes are iso time.

There's just no basketball intelligence. The last 3 minutes started out with Marcus Smart making a series of very bad plays. Then he was pulled and Kyrie started taking a bunch of very poor shots with almost zero ball movement. Brown, who was 10-13 at the time didn't touch the ball in the last 3 minutes. Rozier made no attempt to move the ball either. The point guard play was hideous. No sets, no picks, just hero ball, and terrible defense.

This, plus the collapse of Jayson Tatum's game on both sides of the ball since the all-star break is making this team hard to watch.

This take seems a bit extreme since the same team made it to game 7 of the ECF without Kyrie or Hayward just last season.

No one took over, and everyone tried and failed to be the hero with hero ball.  Disgusting loss.

I just want this season over. Looking forward to whatever lies ahead. But this team is not much of anything. Blow big losses, no chemistry, Brad looks lost.

Get this over with one way of the other.

agreed

brad has shown time and time again, weak on discipline and adjusting. he continually allows them to jack up lazy threes when they are not falling with no emphasis on getting to the hoop or teaching them when to try something else ad stick with what is working. sure we have other issues also no doubt.

Kyrie threw Brad under the bus again after the game. Criticized team for not trapping Walker on defense.

The first time I ever saw Kyrie was the world games or Olympics, whatever that was.  I saw his talent but the only reason I watched is because they were struggling and I was curious.  What I saw was exactly what we 're going through right now. That was probably 7 years ago.

Lebron being a playmaker with the clout to actually reign Kyrie in, is what worked for them.

I don't see this team or next year with AD able to do that. I think being mesmerized by his talent has blinded everyone to the fact he doesn't fit Brad or this team.

And mind you, that olympics team was filled with the best talent in the NBA at the time, but still struggled with Kyrie controlling everyone's looks at the basket.
