Yep,
70k of his ITUNES sales went to one credit card.

So he gets 84% of that money back - 16% going to ITUNES.

So he paid about 12 Gs for a bunch of publicity

I don't know what you guys are talkin about, I think this kid is pretty tight

And that website that reported this scandal thing about him buying 75K of his own iTunes album has since retracted their statement.

First off, this kid is dope. No matter where he's from or how he got to where he is now, he produced some pretty raw songs.

And rap isn't dead; yet at least. You cant base a music genre off a few mainstream artists on the radio with garbage songs, or what their message is. Take a listen to Kid Cudi, Lupe Fiasco, or Wale, you'll realize that it is far from being over. The genre is just overshadowed by horrible artists that only care about how much money they can get from spitting to a simple instrumental.

First of all, this guy is wack. I work downtown Boston near Washington St and he was down there a few weeks ago signing autographs and there was nothing but pre teen girls lined up. Also, i agree that hip hop isn't dead, it just lives underground. If you realy want to hear good music, listen to apollo browns new album...pure art. Or take a listen to MF Grimm's new album. MC's that make music for the love of it like Oddisee, MF Doom, P.o.s, Elzhi, Reks, Atmosphere, Vinnie Paz, etc. Support real artist and not these gimmicks like Drake, Sam Adams, and Gucci.
