Why is so much of rap misogynistic, just always been curious why demeaning, and talking about using women, often violently, is such a major part of rap?  Or am I just listening to the wrong people?

ur listening to the mainstream garbage that floods the airwaves.  underground rap tends to be alot more conscious of actually saying something in their rhymes.

.....Totally. Just like me  ;D.

No, but seriously. I've been writing much more substantive songs lately. I have one about my battle with depression that I've been working on for about two weeks that I'm really starting to like.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

This isn't a particularly "insightful/smart" rap...but I recorded it today. I have fun listening to it--thought you guys might too.

I'm not a rap guy,  but for a regular guy, you've got some talent. TP

TP.

It was pretty decent. I do a lil sumthin in cyphers but nothin on wax. But heres some advice;

1. You might wanna try a different beat

2. Work on the adlibs.

3. And write it down! Dont put out your subpar stuff or you leave yourself open to negative criticism. If people still dont like your written stuff, then just think about this:

Do you do it for others? Or do you do it cause you love Hip Hop?
