Well, this is interesting. I watched the first half, then had to miss the 3rd quarter. What happened? And why did it take so long to get smart in? Isn't he normally in after the starting period of the half?

Literally two different standards of officiating in the third. Probably the worst officiated quarter we've had this year. They got every single call with contact, and we were literally going to basket virtually every possession with contact and no calls whatsoever.
It was horrible the most disgusting one was Marcus Smart getting mugged by Kyrie with no call...then getting a tech for it.

I'm done for tonight, folks.

was a fun half. Showed that we can play with them in a fair environment.
My biases, in order of fervor:
Pro:
Smart, Brown, Hayward, Tatum, Kemba, Grant Williams, Sleepy Williams, Edwards!

Anti:
Kanter, Semi, Theis, Poierier

Is the tech why smart didn't start the 4th like he normally does?
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

I'm honestly glad that this is the last game against the Cavs this season, and we most likely won't see them until the ECF if at all. It's just too frustrating having to watch these games with how big of a disadvantage that we have with the refs.

Foul trouble I think.

To take things away from the refs, the Celtics shouldn't have been outscored with LeBron on the bench in the second quarter.

I'd say the worst call was the incidental contact of Amir's elbow into Mozgov's throat.  The refs reacted to the results of that play, not the play itself.  Then later in the game, Smart takes an elbow to the chin with no call.   The difference is that Smart didn't fall to the ground clutching his face.  And while Mozgov did get hit much harder, that is a double standard at it's finest.

Fools gold in the first quarter, and the refs slowed the game down to nothing.

The LeBron bull rush late is a real thing the C's have no answer as of yet.

would that have been a factor if the refs didn't take over.

That's because we don't have soft, pansy players on the C's  ;)

There is such a thing as waiting too long before you give a team the pieces it needs to move forward. We're flirting with it if this team can't sign a major free agent by the beginning of next season.

I think we would have lost this game anyway, bad refs or not.  We played a terrible 2nd quarter and it was downhill from there.  I'm more upset with the general state of NBA officiating and the obvious bias for certain players.

Let's not blame this all on the refs though to be fair Kyrie killed us for a good stretch there. Dellavadova was even going off
