I like playing a game called name the post OP before clicking it. I was wrong lost 5 points thought for sure this was a Darth started thread.

Carry on.
that's funny, I do something similar when I see a ridiculous trade post.  nailed this one.  getting good at picking out this OP's threads.  have a consolation TP -- better luck on the next one which is likely coming out in 3.2.1--here it comes!

Man, that’s enough. Nothing on earth could consider Dallas to trade Doncic

Really?

Tatum and Brown should easily return Doncic. Plus extra
That’s an impossible trade, so no, not easily at all. Those two have an outgoing salary of $62.5m for Dallas, and Doncic is on a rookie deal. Not remotely possible

Tatum big salary doesnt kick in until next season

So a trade would be possible

Example Porzingis + Doncic for Brown and Tatum. Checks out on espn trade machine
No, you're wrong. Tatum's salary might not kick in until next year, but his contract has a Poison Pill Provision. It means his current salary is averaged along with the salaries he is to receive in his extension, and that average becomes his incoming salary for trade purposes. So we can trade him out and his salary would be worth roughly $10m, but for Dallas his incoming salary would be $42.4m. ESPN's trade machine is bad.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Ok thanks. Didnt know. However, end of the day a trade is possible.  Mavs could add Hardway Jr. etc

Dallas would be crazy not to accept Tatum/Brown for Doncic

Its not a trade that happens but...

Imo there is no one player in the league today worth the value of Tatum/Brown combined
