That why I like Brown. Covington is a good defender but Brown just got right by him.
Jaylen is just so athletic he can keep churning and get past a lot of guys right there.
That move Jaylen had on the start of the possession when he missed the lay up was actually probably the best dribble move I've ever seen him do. He did a fake back down where he acted like he was going into a post up then dribbled back and blew past the defender.
Ya for all the complaints about his ball handling he will flash a nice advanced move every once in a while. I remember one or two nice step back crossovers moves, and a nice spin move or two. If he tightens up the handle to avoid turnovers he could be really good.
Yeah exactly, it's simplicity. I think some guys when they are young thing more dribbles are better but you realize it's best to be simple and quick. It's why Hayward is good for example, but it's not like he is really crossing people up or anything. Simple and quick moves.
If you're as long and athletic as Jaylen, it's actually not about anything more than essentially allowing your athleticism to shine and not letting the dribble slow you down. Just put it out in front of you with enough moves to allow you to quickly explode. Simple hesitation moves go a long way.
