Me and my wife love watching Christmas movies especially the older ones like Shop around the Corner, It's a Wonderful Life, Miracle on 34th Street, the 1951 A Christmas Carol, Holiday Inn, The Bishop's Wife, Christmas in Connecticut, The Gathering and The House Without a Christmas Tree. For newer movies I really love Christmas Vacation, A Christmas Story and Elf.
For the worst try to see Santa and the Ice Cream Bunny there is a great review on the agony booth web site that is really funny.

Home Alone is just a classic. I love the National Vacation Christmas movie, when they go out and get a tree or when the cousin arrives. Great movie. I thought Elf was pretty good. The Grinch movie with Carey is alright, but too long.
Then there are some that I can watch once and they'll entertaining. The likes of Deck the Hall (with Danny DeVito) and I think there's one with Steve Martin where he's trying to go on a vacation. I just try to stay away from the Hallmark Channel or Lifetime movies as they seem to be extremely cheesy and poor quality.

One of my favorites (of any genre) is The Ref.
Silent Night, Deadly Night gets some points for having the psycho killer Santa whose catch phrase is "Merry Bleepin' Christmas".
I like me some old fashioned, black and white Scrooge too.

I don't really like Christmas movies, but some of my favorites:
Nightmare before Christmas
Elf
Gremlins (not really an XMas movie but the season is a major part)
-
Miracle on 34th street
Christmas Carol (1951)
Its a wonderful life
Elf
Refuse to watch the Girch with Jim Carry (akthough have seen clips) because I love the cartoon.

It's a Wonderful Life.
Everything else can just go home.

It's a Wonderful Life takes the cake for me. In terms of worst, I'd say the remake of the Grinch. Terrible.

i find Christmas movies to be sorta cliche.

Even though it's not exactly a movie I'm going for Charlie Brown Christmas special

I will always watch the same movies at Christmas time every year...
1. It's A Wonderful Life
2. A Christmas Story
3. The Nightmare Before Christmas
4. Miracle on 34th Street
5. Elf
6. Scrooge (Christmas Carol 1951)

Can't believe I almost forgot this one: "Scrooged" with Bill Murray and Karen Allen ... Love that one, too.

Thats A Christmas Story! Which is my favorite but it may only be because I have the movie memorized due to millions of viewings. I cant remember the first time I saw it.

Anyone ever see the WKRP Scrooge episode?

Just got done watching Santa with Muscles starring Hulk Hogan, Ed Begley Jr. and Garret Morris. My daughters and I are developing a taste for bad, but free, movies available on Comcast's free On Demand section.
The Hulkster saved the orphanage! Go figure.
It actually was oddly entertaining.
