Omer Asik for 8-10 million anybody? Last case scenario, of course.

Nah.. With the celtics this far from contending, Asik is too much of an old ground-bound specialist for this team.

Agreed ......Asik is slow ..and just not what this team needs with it's fast pace ball movement style.

We need Sanders BODY with a clear thinking head attached

Yep celtics need an elite above the rim defensive center, an all star go to scorer, and just more 2 way players.

Asik fits none of those categories.

So what you're saying is that we just need to trade for DMC and we'll be all set. ;)

If we can't get anything better, I'd have no problems giving him 8 million over a couple of years. However, the first semi-realistic choice in free agency is DJ for me. I think we should offer him a max without question. Imagine how much better we'd be with Deandre Jordan running our paint.
Yeah, I am watching the Clippers to see how effective Jordan is in the post season.

Asik is gonna demand 4 years, and that is just too long for him on this team.

If it is true that most teams are gonna hold heir cards for 2016, I look forward to seeing Ainge making an aggressive splash this summer.

How is DMC an elite above the rim defensive center?  He is not even an above average defender. His effort level at times is laughable

I keep comparing him to derrick Coleman. In the right situation he could be amazing. His defensive abilities are fine. He needs a change of scenery. The Kings are a joke of a franchise these days/years.

Didn't you make this same argument a few weeks ago, with your primary point being that DMC didn't take enough charges?  Despite him leading the league in charges for the last two seasons?

I've cited the numbers many times before for you.  Traditional stats, advanced stats, personal observation...  DMC is a very good defender.

But, if you don't believe me, read Zach Lowe:

Quote
Let’s start with Cousins, who is clearly an All-NBA-level player — and probably a first-teamer in a normal, healthy season. (Please read that sentence again, Sacto fans.) He is an unguardable monster in the post, a skilled passer and shooter, and when in the proper mental and physical states, one of the dozen best defensive players in the league.

That's not a top-12 defensive center, or defensive big man.  It's top-12 defensive players overall.

He wanted a 40 point blow out and see Le Queen sitting on the bench relaxing ...... ::)

Id say you guys can pick one of Sully, KO, Zeller and then any 3 #1s. Ptobably doesnt do it but the Kings are dumb so who knows.

Refs really them them play tonight.

The first 2 Offensive fouls that were NOT called on Mozgov were REEEEdiculous.

But they did let us get away with some physical play too.

Proud of our guys, taking it to this BS Cavs team----I mean C'mon---They already had Irving, LeBron AND Kevin Love----But they STILL were not good enough---so they were Gift-Wrapped Mozgov-----it is Pathetic really.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

I know this is a little out of context but, based how were playing, I think we would've gave Atlanta a run for their money to win the series.

Demarcus Cousins would solve like everything wrong with this team.
