What does this do for the Celtics seeding?
I can’t even remember where we were at end of season....

8ish regular season games still to be played.  Boston is currently the 3rd seed (Milwaukee has basically locked up 1 and Toronto is 2).  Could reasonably get as high as 2nd or as low as 6th, though 2nd, 5th, or 6th are unlikely and even dropping to 4th isn't all that likely.  The real question is who is going to be 6th as right now Indiana and Philadelphia have the same record and Miami is 2 games better.  All 3 pose interesting 1st round matchups but I'd prefer Miami.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Kind of weird that they're doing 8 more regular season games AND a play-in for the 8th seed, but I'll take it.

What happens with the Celtics' stash of draft picks for this year.

Idk if this even favors the Celtics or not. Definitely favors super teams now that they are fully healthy.

Draft pick wise, it helps.  Memphis can fall into the lottery.

So will they do a new draw? Who will we and Philly be playing to finish off the regular season. As things stand we will be playing each other in the playoffs unless seedings change. I kind of want to play them, I think they will be a better yardstick for us than Miami.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

According to this tweet, the schedule will go like this:

The plan is for teams to continue their schedule as planned, with the next 8 games. If team is scheduled to play Hawks/Bulls/Pistons, it moves onto the next game on schedule, league sources tell Yahoo Sport

And then one of the replies on twitter tried to map out what that might look like:

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

A heavy schedule for Boston, having to play Milwaukee, Toronto, Brooklyn (possibly with Irving/Durant), Portland, Miami...

Yeah our schedule looks pretty tough, but Toronto's looks even harder.  I still am not convinced any of this is a good idea yet.

Everybody's schedule is going to look tough when there are no games against the bottom 8 teams in the league. All in all if there's no Durant/Irving for the nets, which still seems most likely, the Celtics schedule isnt bad. 5 Games against teams still competing for the bottom playoff spots.

That "can remain fluid part", the players' union has a call on Friday, I'm guessing there might be some push back from the players there.

At least 2 teams are looking at less than a month off between seasons, while a Christmas start at least gives players something closer to a 2 month break.  The players pushing back here would be my guess.

Or of course they just might be leaving the door open for more Corona virus issues, which might still be impacting large public gatherings by then.
