I'd add Dwight to that list blink.

Though his dirty elbows hit teammates as often as opponents.

I can't disagree with that, duly noted!

Allen is probably shooting for a spot in the top 5 cheap shot artists in the NBA.  He really needs to up his game to get into the list though...

1. Kermit Washington
2. Andrew Bynum
3. Zaza P.
4. Metta World Peace
5. Bill Laimbeer
6. Dwight Howard
Rick Mahorn was dirtier than most of these guys, with the possible exceptions of Kermit Washington and Bill Laimbeer.

I don't remember Rick Mahorn's dirty plays as much as Laimbeer's.  Bowen I def do...
Grayson has some work to do.

Rick Mahorn and Jeff Ruland? Dubbed by Johnny Most "McFilthy and McNasty" because of their dirty plays and cheap shots? Doesn't ring a bell?

Most of my recollection of Mahorn's dirty play was Johnny Most screaming about the dirty, cheap shots he was taking every time we played Washington. In the early 80's you didn't get to see a ton of Washington v. Boston games on TV, so radio it was. But when Mahorn went to Detroit, then I saw what Most was screaming about all the time.

I am from Iowa, so I didn't get to listen to Johnny on the radio, or even see that many Celtics games growing up.  Basically a few during the season and some of the playoffs and finals.  I will have to check out some you tube videos of mcfilthy and mcnasty.  haha

Is this supposed to be sarcastic?

Sadly, I think its some Duke diehard doing some serious mental gymnastics to defend his binky.

Certainly reads as satire at first, though.

I saw those hits, and that kid Allen is going to get his rear end handed to him if he plays like that in the NBA.

I think it serves as a dual purpose, one he does think Grayson got a raw deal. Two he gets the clicks, those sweet sweet hate clicks.

The sad thing that I've observed with Grayson over the years is that he DOES - I believe - have enough talent and toughness, especially - to actually survive in the league and be a serviceable role player.

Once he realizes this he can stop with the Dirtbag antics.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

My memory of Rick was that he was oftentimes slick in his overly physical play - especially in DET.

He let Bill Laimbeer hold the mantle on that front.

One of Rick's signature moves was his Hip Checks...I remember one time he hip-checked Larry several feet and knocked him down...dude had a WIDE middle.
