This would help us tremendously, but I doubt the Bucks would do this.

Thoughts?

Trading Bass for Dalembert is just swapping one hole in the roster for another.

Need to keep Bass + add another rotation worthy big man.

But one of them is a seven footer and can play center and rebound and one is 6' 8" and shoots outside jumpers and gets blocked by the rim on dunk attempts (see Charlotte game, first quarter).

Bradley/Terry
Lee/Daniels
Pierce/Green/Daniels
Green/Wilcox/Garnett
Garnett/Dalembert

Not terrible, really. Never again would we have Green at the 4 and Bass at the 5; there's always SOME rebounding on the floor.

Maybe I am loopy from all our injuries, but that lineup doesn't bother me.  I have always liked MD.  I like having a bit more size and experience at the wing behind Lee and PP.  I haven't been wanting to jump on the trade Bass bus, but this seems like a decent small trade to help us with a playoff push.

This is actually a smart trade the works financially for both teams.  I'd be happy with this.  I'm not sure MIL would do it, but they're only playing Dalembert and Daniels about 18mpg.  They could plug Bass in as a backup and see what they get out of Melo.

Dalembert would immediately become our best rebounder.  KG would be able to spend some time at PF, while Dalembert filled in at C.  Green would have to play some more minutes at PF, which I know isn't his strength, but it's a better option than signing Kenyon Martin to backup Bass.

If Ainge did this, he could turn his attention to bringing in a low-cost backup PG.

Good idea.

I think Boston needs a big man who can make jump-shots other than KG.

That would leave Boston with big men who (other than KG) can only make shots within 5 feet of the rim. Too many spacing issues.

Bass' jump-shooting is valuable. If he leaves, there needs to be someone who can come in and provide some floor spacing to replace Bass.

We actually need someone who can bang in the paint, we are too much of a wimpy jumpshooting team already.
When you lose, the easy part is to see who gives up. Giving up is very simple. You basically take your stuff and walk away. To continue to work and to continue to compete is one of the most difficult things, especially when you really don't have anything - KG

I cannot believe that anyone really believes that we need MORE bigs taking outside shots!!!  That is the LAST thing we need.  We have plenty or outside shooters as was mentioned by relja.

any way we can could Dalembert on this team by giving up Bass, I'm allll for!

Sadly, Mil is just not a good trading partner as they are stacked at PF. They would have to find somebody they could flip Bass to.

Trust me, I've been trying to figure this out for weeks lol

The Bucks are NOT stacked with PF's that can consistently hit 15-footers!!!
