Edgar, ACF, and Cavman ... Congratulations to all! I'm
so sorry I missed all this excitement, as parenthood is very important to me ... guess I'm not on at the right times. You all must be psyched, and now with the C's in the Finals ... life is indeed good, is it not? Though my youngest is now 19 and finishing her 2nd year at Northeastern, (you'll find that a father's duty is to brag at
every opportunity), looking back on it all, it's by far the greatest job/experience/blessing in life, being a parent. Probably the hardest, too, and most painful at times, (I'm having a bit of trouble with the whole "empty nest" thing), as a single dad, when they finally leave home for good ... it's tough.
It's all an incredible journey, though, and I think the process forced
me to grow as much as
they did ... I really envy each one of you! God bless you and your new ones/ones on-the-way ... I pray you have all the blessings a happy family can have! All the best - I hope you'll keep us updated as to their arrivals!
Cavman: I've been trying to adopt as well, and despite the fact that I've been a "successful" foster parent, it's been a very hard thing to do, (as a single dad). I'm so glad you were successful, as the whole process can be very, very difficult.
