My guess is tendinopathy is a thing Tatum is actually dealing with, and they are using this stretch of spread out schedule to try and get him a longer bit of rest. Taking tonight off means 8 days between games for him, taking the Washington game off would mean 12 games between games. Tendinopathy is something that only really goes away with an extended bit of rest, so getting him at least 8 days off would help.

At the same time I doubt its serious, if this was a playoff game he'd probably be playing.

Fun fact since the start of the 2021-22 season Tatum has played 11497 minutes regular season and playoffs, that's the most in the NBA and about 1200 minutes more than the second place Mikal Bridges. Brown and White are 4th and 8th btw.

So, really great that they are not in the irrelevant tournament.  Hope they get rid of it but doubt they will.

Tournament may be meaningless but it seems good for the NBA. Made for some more interesting games, good for young teams needing to prove something, different early season story lines. Case in point, people are psyched on the Hawks. Easy enuff to lose a game in the grand scheme of an 82 game schedule if ur a real contender and want out.

Dang. Heck of a block by Stewart.

Our offense is garbage without Tatum, especially when not hitting threes. Not enough playmaking and no gravity from Tatum.

Might be the worst quarter of basketball the Cs have played this season. Lazy with the ball. Turnovers and dumb shots.

Pistons are packing the paint and we are getting open threes but only hitting 30%. If we start making some shots the paint will open up.

Pritchard changed the game.

Our passing to the bigs is destroying Detroit right now.  Keep going inside.

What a shot by PP.  Tough stepback.

Tatum should learn the 3pt step back shot from PP.

Walsh and Queta are worthless out there.

Interesting game for Joe to try to go 10 deep.  Our depth is highly tested without Tatum and Hauser.  Seems like should have kept Peterson in there instead of Walsh.
