My guess is tendinopathy is a thing Tatum is actually dealing with, and they are using this stretch of spread out schedule to try and get him a longer bit of rest. Taking tonight off means 8 days between games for him, taking the Washington game off would mean 12 games between games. Tendinopathy is something that only really goes away with an extended bit of rest, so getting him at least 8 days off would help. At the same time I doubt its serious, if this was a playoff game he'd probably be playing. Fun fact since the start of the 2021-22 season Tatum has played 11497 minutes regular season and playoffs, that's the most in the NBA and about 1200 minutes more than the second place Mikal Bridges. Brown and White are 4th and 8th btw.

Our offense is garbage without Tatum, especially when not hitting threes. Not enough playmaking and no gravity from Tatum.
