If you are insinuating that most people are in favor of 'protecting' their families from gay people, then I don't know what to say. Maybe we should have ads like, 'protect your families from black people' or 'protect your families from giving women the right to vote' - see what I did there. Judging by your response, I'd guess you would probably favor those ads, as well.

Thats not very nice of you.  You seem hostile to people with other view points on lifestyle choices.  BTW, many blacks are offended by that comparison.  They are also more hostile to gay marriage than white people.
You're being intentionally inflammatory. Don't try and paint yourself as the wronged party in this. Jambr (and all of us) are for having to see hateful content

Errrrrrrrr ... those ads are the hostility.

Don't get this wrong, sport.

"Hostile to people with other view points"?

Only when that view point is that others can't do as they please.

For a country all about Freedom, there sure are a lotta people that try to take it away from their compatriots.

Disgusting behaviour. Love your fellow human beings already. Stop being narrow-minded.

Also;

Fixed.

You might have to log in/out a couple times, refresh, hard refresh (ctrl+shift+r or command+shift+r).

I've hidden that particular add in the sidebar.

Let me know if it appears anywhere else.

I'm still seeing that ridiculous ad along with several others.  In fact, I did the hard refresh and that was the ad that showed up.

Same. As I write this, the "Protect your family from pride" ad is visible on the page.

This might work for some...

I think you can remove ads by right-clicking on the ads and pressing "Remove Element" until the ad ultimately disappears.

Blocking the ads solves the problem for those who just don't want to see the ads.  Usually I would be fine with that.  But the last ad crossed a line.  It bothers me that this ad is on the site regardless of whether I can see it.

Yeah. The funny thing is, the company that supplies the ads advertises itself as one that is “safe” and that does not do damage to your website’s brand.  And yet, many of these ads are far from family friendly, unless you have a very specific and warped image of “family” in mind.

So, this is old forum software.

This means there's a lot of weird quirks. Including some really difficult to defeat caching, and possible use of "different templates" in "different places".

I'm going to keep looking into what might make them still appear for you guys. I've got administrator access to some of the template files, and whilst some seem to not want to apply changes, others do.

I'll update on progress. Bear with me please.

Thanks K. tp for all the good work you are doing for us here at CS.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I never see any ads here. I'm using Adblock Plus for Chrome though.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

I’ve been seeing McDonalds ads lately.  And some Showtime, too.  Click on through and make the site some money, so we don’t have to see the others, haha.

Me too. Works like a charm.
