Lets say Memphis wants to unload Conley and Gasol so they can build around Jackson Jr.

1.)trade smart, Baynes, rozier, Yabu for Gasol.

~Why for memphis: gives you a replacement for conley(who is traded to someone else) plus a starting SG in Smart to put with Jaren Jackson. Plus yabu has some potential.

For BOS: gets you a rebounding big that can also shoot the 3. Yes he is older and aging quickly but contract only has 2 years left on it.

2018/2019 Lineup: Irving,Brown,Tatum, Horford, Gasol
-with Morris and Hayward off the bench. pick up a buyout PG to back up Irving altho I like wanamaker

2.) PLUS we can still trade for Davis in offseason.
Horford, Tatum, plus picks  for Davis and E.Moore

2019/2020 Lineup:
Irving,Brown, Hayward, Davis, Gasol

Ok, I also like Marc, but giving up Smart, T-Roze, Yabu and Baynes for a 34-yrs veteran makes no sense.

Each of the past 3 years Marc starts season great.
Then after 2 months he gets tired, injury creeps up and he eventually sits.
His skill and mindset are Allstar quality, while his body is the exact opposite.

He had a remarkable career up to this point but at 34 I am not sure he has anything left in the tank.

he played alot minutes for Griz .  Hard ruff minutes too. He might last another 2-3 years if used with caution .   Menphis just rode him hard and used him up.

He could still, play another 2 years for a guy like CBS , playing around Al 's minutes .  He s never been severely hurt i can remember , just worn out and over playedt where he gets tons of nagging issues .
