Jeez - we get a steal and then give it right back to Atlanta ... we certainly had opportunities in this one.

While the Hawks are certainly a problem for us, we gave this one away ... plenty of chances blown and a lack of concentration on defense. I really don't see Atlanta as formidable as people are painting them ... we beat ourselves in this one, and the Hawks just obliged. Shame.

Another chance wasted at pulling even with the Lakers in the amount of losses. And Orlando and Cleveland also lost.

Reasons we lost tonight:

Bad overall shooting.
No help from the bench.
Crawford lit it up.
Second chance points by the Hawks.
Rondo cheating off Bibby and getting burned.

Even then we had a chance to win. I hate to say this, but we missed TA guarding Crawford tonight. It could have been a big difference.

Celtics 1st half was great. Solid offense and solid defense.

Celtics 2nd half was poor. In the 3rd they could not execute offensively. I've said it plent of times... "The reason celtics look poor on the defensive end @ times is because their offensive execution is poor". Playing a Team like the Hawks would get you in trouble if you can't score.

The 4th quarter the Celtics played good and not great because they could not get stops although their offense started to click. @ this point though it was too late. The Hawks were in the lead already and believed they will win. Jamal Crawford was zoned in offensively.

Bottom line we just lost this one. They're healthy and we're not, but we had our chances.

It may seem strange to say, but the Hawks don't worry me like they did before this game. I thought their youth and athleticism was a formidable problem for us, but we gave this game away, and we could have easily won despite them playing near the top of their game, and despite not having KG and Quis. Before last night I had a nagging doubt in the back of my mind about meeting them in the playoffs, but funny enough, I'm no longer worried about them, despite losing to them twice.

Exactly. We still got to see a championship team. We got to see a championship team give it away, but we still saw them. That's my main reason why I'm not worried; I truly believe we have the most awesome bunch of guys there is.

The thing that upset me that most was that I felt that the Hawks physically man-handled us tonight.  There were several hard fouls by the Hawks that could have been called flagrants.  The one by Zaza on PP comes to mind.  What upset me was the FACT that no one on OUR team fouled any of the Hawk players hard.  It looked like we let the young birds intimidate us.  We looked soft as Charmin and I am very concerned about that FACT!!

Good point, there were some really hard fouls. We did get to the foul line a lot though, didn't we?

I miss game-chat when there's no games. We need a chatroom.

Do we have one?

(Didn't think it was worth creating a topic)

There is a chat room ... I've never been there, or gone to the "Fan Post" thing either ... I'm a self-proclaimed cyber-moron. ;)
