If all else fails go with the smart kid.  Plus he's really talented.

Talented or athletic? I've mostly heard he's athletic and is lacking the know how on how to play basketball. Granted I only saw two games of his this year (and the additional YouTube clips), but I tend to fall on the super athlete, but not super talented scale.

Curious about your opinion. Also seems to be alot of positive vibes seeping out of him and his people following the reports of terrible interviews at the combine.

People are underrating his ability.  He's a legit 3 who can play in an up tempo system like a Kawii Leonard type. Maybe not as good as that but he's a big dude for a guard/forward.  Very talented.

I don't think we lose getting Brown.  We get a really talented player. He isn't as risky as a guy like Chriss or Bender or even Hield or Murray.  I like those guys too but as far as value and trade value he has that extra something teams are going to like including us.

Plus we can just keep him because he's a good player.

Isaiah and Brown to me would be lethal on the break.  With  Bradley, Smart, Crowder, Rozier and guys like that.  It's a guard oriented league and t hat's a lot of good talent.  We'd still have KO, Sully and guys like that and have to upgrade our bigs some other way but guard wise we'd be really lethal.

Jaylen Brown is comparable to Jimmy Butler but even more athletic and more of a beast as far as physicality.  Not the shooter Butler is yet.

If you can dunk it why shoot?  A lot of great players had to learn how to shoot. I bet he can shoot he just can dunk it so effortlessly.

If all else fails go with the smart kid.  Plus he's really talented.

He's athletic and smart but he's not much of a basketball player right now. His shooting wasn't good. Rebounding wasn't good. Assists to Turnovers was about 1 to 1.75 which is incredibly bad. He didn't play defense very well last year.

Right now all he's got going for him is his exceptional athleticism.

I also want to know what happened to him late last season. Injury? Lack of focus? Just a horrendous slump? His last 5 games last year were awful:

5 points (2 of 9), 1 board, 1 assist against Arizona (L, Reg Season)
10 points (3/10), 6 boards, 2 assists against Arizona State (W, Reg Season)
8 points (1/6), 2 boards, 3 assists against Oregon State (W, Conf)
12 points (3/17), 5 boards, 5 assists against Utah (L, Conf)
4 points (1/6), 2 boards, 0 assists against Hawaii (L, NCAA)

That's a truly awful stretch for a top 5 pick. He didn't shoot over 50% in any game in his last 8. I'm really wary of players who vanish down the stretch or at crunch time.
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

he's very interesting, extremely athletic, and explosive. I don't think his shot is broke and I think it can be fixed. I am warming up to him at #3. Not to mention, we really kinda need a wing.

What if we can draft Brown  and move up and snag Chriss? I'd be all over that.  That's a lot of highlight reel stuff.  I feel like big men can be had later in this draft as well. And shooters.  Or via trade.

Maybe swap with a team where we can get Brown and a shooter or big man some other way.
