Love your wings.   If Rose can handle being less ball dominant and more facilitator, that's a really good squad.  And you know I love that frontcourt in a street fight.

I’m thinking of having Rose be the Sixth Man, but a lot depends upon what other PGs are available later.

Toronto Raptors

PG: Kyle Lowry
SG: Vince Carter
SF: Khris Middleton
PF: Kevin Garnett
C: David Robinson

Plan for this team is to attack the opposing team's weak link(s) with global offence: all of my players can handle the ball, pass and score on all three levels. We'll be relying on the best defensive frontcourt in this draft to buoy our defence with length, speed and intensity while having some pesky perimeter defenders in Lowry and Middleton. Thoughts on the team?

Well, I think there were better PG's available, and at least one that wouldn't have compromised your defensive identity, but it's a strong team none-the-less.  I do think this team needs someone who is more of a pure scorer, though.  Vince is really the only one that can qualify as a legit alpha on offense, but I didn't love his prime years.

The defense is exceptional, though.  Not much to say there.  That will be your bread and butter.

I think Vince will be the pure scorer for us while everyone else chips in. It's definitely not outstanding compared to other teams, but I think the synergistic effect of incredible spacing and additive passing (everyone on my team can make good reads) will go a long way in making the offence work. And thanks for the compliment regarding my team's defence lol.

This team is going to be fun in transition, particularly with its small ball lineup.  I don’t know if you need a traditional point guard; Iverson and Mc Grady can easily handle the ball, and Griffin is a good distributor himself.

Since my team is done for the day

G:  Ray Allen and Chauncey Billups
F.  Lebron James and Gerald Wallace
C.  Rudy Gobert

My team has a strong defense with a balanced offense.   Three guys that can shoot a high % of three pointers around Lebron.

The defense outside of Ray is fantastic.  This sounds weird, but in this particular league, I think your scoring might be a bit limited compared to your peers?

I actually see the offence being fantastic but the defence being a bit problematic. Ray certainly doesn't help matters much, but Gobert can get run off the court in certain matchups, especially when he doesn't have a great PF help defender to help him out (yes I know that LeBron and Wallace are great SF defenders, but they still lack the reach of say a Kevin Garnett when it comes to help defence).

The offence should be fine: LeBron would be salivating at the prospect of having two elite volume three point shooters spacing the floor for him alongside two guys who can really finish.

Agreed. I think it would help your team to draft a genuine defensive facilitator who can pair with AI or T-Mac when your team needs more structure to its offense, similar to the player AI paired with in real life. There are still a number of those players out there - almost a grandfather figure.

Tatum was a really fantastic selection for your floor spacing without sacrificing overall defense. You had a terrific day in that regard - Rose and Tatum on the floor without Giannis or Malone gives your 1-4 playmaking ability and balanced shooting. Tatum's growth this year shooting the 3 and defensively will be huge for your team.

I think you know you need defense and shooting in the backcourt, but that's really the only hole. Somebody who can shoot and defend when you go big with Giannis, Malone, and Zo. Otherwise, the lane will be pretty clogged. Giannis and Malone both enjoyed terrific shooting around them that opened the lane.

I love your PG, SG and SF positions. They are incredible.

They scare the crap out of every team in the league!

Rudy Gobert is okay in the middle but I am not convinced about Gerald Wallace as a starter. I don't think he brings enough jump-shooting to the table to justify going small. I would pick someone else as my starting PF and use G-Wallace off the bench.

I see this team as a very very souped up version of the 2011 Chicago Bulls.

Noah still in place.
A better all-star caliber version of a then above average PF who can play set ball screens, play inside, and make long jumpers.
A better version of a jack of all trades SF who's caling card largely is defense, but can do it all.
A much better version of whoever they used to roll out at SG.
A better version of an MVP point guard.

I know the team comparison doesn't sound great, but I actually liked that team and all your upgrades are significant.  I think in this game of superstars, you really have to think seriously about the reduced roles every player will have and I think comparisons I laid out is pretty close to the roles your players would adapt in your team.  And I like them.  Making sure we don't lose sight of how much better of an MVP, offensive engine Curry is than Rose.
