Do the Bulls just waive Bynum? So he's still going to the Heat?

Hope not! But they probably will.

WOW indeed.

The enemy of a winning team is a cheap owner indeed. Solid deal for Cleveland (assuming Deng stays of course).

Good trade by Chicago. They needed to start looking forward a few years down the line past this current Luol Deng + Carlos Boozer supporting cast for Joakim Noah and Derrick Rose. Picked up a couple of draft picks for a player they were not, and should not, have resigned in the summer.

I don't really like it for Cleveland. Too much too soon. This impatience in rebuilding could cost them further down the line. A terrific short term move however.

Yeah I like it for Cleveland. That Kings pick is protected from really ever being anything special. Are the Bulls punting the season? They probably still have a shot at the 4 seed...

Yeah, agree with everything that you said. Felt like Cleveland rushed it a bit. Even though the pick is heavily protected, I think that they could have been better off if they went in another direction.

This.

If I was Chicago, I should have just traded both Boozer and Deng to LA for Gasol.

Outside of salary relief, realistically speaking, they just traded Deng for a "potential" first rounder but really is just a bunch of second rounders and a chance to save $6 million.

That's why its a good deal for Cleveland.

Deng would certainly help them on both ends.

The only thing that will make Cleveland lose this trade is if Deng does not resign, which is still a possibility. But the potential of Kyrie and Deng as their core, not bad.
