I love coming here and reading the hot takes after a preseason skunking.

Sky is falling, Danny sucks, Brad sucks, bench sucks, starting 5 sucks, everyones better, we suck, sky is falling.
The sky isn't falling, Danny is great, Brad has his warts but is still a very good coach, our starting 5 sucks without our best offensive player, everyone else with MVP and All-NBA players are better because they're currently at or close to full strength, we suck because we're being delusional about our young superstar and are missing our best offensive player, the sky isn't falling. :laugh:

Kyrie burning sage before the game in Boston on the court is beyond disgusting and disrespectful to everyone in Boston. His way of saying his time here was hell and he needs to get rid of the bad karma. I wish him nothing but failure and misery in Brooklyn. Disrespectful would be too kind for that kind of action.

Kyrie and Durant and maybe Harden would be game over. Healthy, they will be a top 2 team this year.

NY media living the sage cleaning as was Durant.

This whole sage burning business shows how soft the Celtics are. You have a player that left the franchise under very bad circumstances who did not even have the courage to show up in Bostn last year come to you rhouse and pull that nonsense yet the Boston leaders were all getting their laughs off with him after he disrespected their house with that ritua of cleansing their court. The team lost that game before the game started. See with Kyrie it is personal, that is why he did what he did, but the Celtics are too soft and dispassionate. They lost that game before the ball went up. It is now all over the media what he did in Boston.
Dude we have literally no vets. Our superstars have to be our enforcers. What you expect. It's tough

The sky isn't falling but Ainge is catastrophically bad at his job to an inexcusable extent. I would very much welcome a new regime - can Zarren take over? Brad remains a good coach but Ainge is putting the screws to him and particularly to Tatum. The idea is to get better each year, to build upon something and improve what you have. Ainge consistently proves his goal is the opposite. We are where we are - which is way further away from competing for a title than we were last year.

Not a hot take if you felt like it since the offseason and esp after the end of FA. Just an opinion. In a month maybe saying this team is good enough will be the hot take, hell, give it a couple more weeks and we'll see  (;

It is a hot take if you are just saying it from offseason to FA to preseason. In a month it is even less of a hot take since you actually see them in meaningful games.

What are Teague, Thompson & Smart if not veterans? You’ve been spouting a lot of unfounded nonsense in this thread

Lol. Sounds like he got permission from Boston to do it based on his postgame comments. Everyone can stop their faux pearl clutching now.

The bad blood is a fan issue. The players don't have issues with each other.

I'm not as confident about this team's shooting, especially when you consider how better a lot of these other teams have become including defensively. Yeah, guys are injured like Kemba and Thompson and I'm sure Nesmith will help off the bench. But feels like the C's will truly be a middle of the pack team this season unless Jaylen also makes a big leap. Kemba's nagging injury is also a bit worrying.

Unlike in the past where we could still keep chugging along despite injuries, I think this season we're going to suffer from injuries. Don't have enough depth really to cover for guys missing significant time.

Just catching up to live action. Looking pretty good so far! Brown poised for a breakout, All-Star year. And LOVING the additions so far. Too many here downplayed the Thompson signing and especially the Teague signing. Teague is probably the number one contender for Sixth Man of the Year this year.
