Was 2 points away from being the youngest Celtics player ever to put up 30 or more points in a playoff game.

That record has been held for an eternal week by Jaylen Brown.

Here's a weird one Tatum was part of:

Rozier/Horford/Tatum got 83 points combined.

Pierce/KG/Ray never cracked 80 in any game.  :o

He got robbed of the 30.  Been waiting all season for it.  He's been due.

Are you implying that this era is better than the previous era. I can't wait to win more than one championship with this team!

That's not fair, as it was Ray's fault (it's always Ray's fault) that they didn't crack 80... lol

Far more important than a record is stringing together consecutive stellar performances. Early in the playoffs he followed a 19pt game with 4 pts. And then followed a 21pt game with 8 pts.

In his last 3 he has 22, 20 and 28 and has contributed defense and big plays in all of them. That kind of consistency is the mark of a real star.

The real robbery is that he deserves rookie of the year but is going to get robbed because he isn’t as flashy as Simmons me or a ball hog like Mitchell

With due respect to Mitchell, I think Tatum will end up being the best player from this draft class. If Tatum had been a primary or secondary option all year long (consistently), he'd be putting up numbers close to 20 points/7-8 rebounds a game and probably get ROTY.

No class of rookies in NBA history has ever had the top 3 finishers of the rookie of the year move onto the second round of the playoffs.

With Simmons, Mitchell, Tatum, it is a first.

This ended up being a very good draft class.  Better then I think people originally thought.  I know Simmons wasn't part of it but there was a ton of talent through out the 1st round.  The crazy part is the draft this year may be even better.

Speaking of this year's draft class, look what just happened to me on Tankathon (after a try or three, four):
