Tonight

Big Baby: 4 points, 4 rebounds.

Brandon Bass: 15 points, 13 rebounds.

I think we won.
For Orlando, the type of deal that gets GM's fired.  Lock up Bass now.....

Not only that deal, Otis Smith traded Rashard Lewis(on a shoter deal) for Arenas and that awful contract and traded Pietrus and Gortat for Richardson, then traded for another big contract with Hedo

He basically killed any cap space the Magic could have had to add a big time player next to Howard.

Danny is the man!

Probably doesn't matter much, but how many minutes did Big Baby play?

24:48 vs 25:45 for Bass.

Wow, and I was really skeptical when the trade first went down, because I really didn't pay that much attention to Brandon's game. But it looks like so far that, the skepticism wasn't justified.

BBD was such a 'headcase' to a lot of people on this blog, I would have been happy getting an overall 'decent' player, just to not hear "did we trade him for Baby?" all the time.

Getting anything above 'decent' out of Bass means two things:
- People who thought BBD was good, will be skeptics about the trade and be pleasantly surprised that Bass is actually good;
- People who were negative about BBD will rejoice and praise Danny.

The fact that Bass is actually contributing to wins for my favorite team makes this whole situation even better.

Glad for the win.

Last year around this time we'd be struggling at home with teams like this.

KG needs to shoot when he has an open look, he is passing more than Rondo.

Our starters looked very passive like they were afraid to short rim their shots at times.  That is most likely why they were not passing.   PP was the exception.

Bass rocks.   Avery finally put together a game on both ends of the court.   Nice to see Moore play some and he scored his first NBA points.   They are using Johnson in the post and he looks like very spindly posting up and needs to be locked in the weight room.

I know it is water under the bridge but that Brooks kid sure does look like an NBA player to me.  I know bigs take a long time to develop and we have a raw athletic one in Johnson but Brooks looked poised and smooth.

That was a lovely crossover and driving layup by Bradley against Farmar late in the fourth.

Terrible first half, very ugly to watch... it got better in the 2nd, mostly for Bradley's performance. Hopefully this "breakout" game will give him confidence and allow him to produce offensively on a regular basis. His D was spectacular on several plays against the Nets.

Too bad Doc once again waited for garbage time to play the rookies... JJJ didn't show anything while Moore looked good offensively with the nice range.

"The Nets lead the league in Williamses" . . . Ha ha, ha!!!
Stay classy, San Diego. Hello, Baxter? Baxter, is that you? Bark twice if you're in Milwaukee. Is this Wilt Chamberlain? Have the decency to say something.
