he's dunked on some pretty elite-level players.  I like that he has the balls to try.

Did you think that he could dunk on LeBron James when almost nobody has. You have to test your boundaries.

You won't know your limitations till you find out what they are, as they say  ;D

He will go to the next level when he decides to be less selfish. Even though he feels it's his time to score on a possession whether it be driving to the hoop or side stepping to a 3 - when it's not there or you are guarded well - PASS THE BALL TO SOMEONE ELSE.

who would have guessed that a 20yo guy in his second pro season lacks the experience to do the right thing in every possession.

Good one! That almost clinches it. Yoda's the master.
But there's another.

“The term I’ve heard is shot amnesia,” Stevens tells me after finishing up that impromptu routine with a miss. “The last one doesn’t go in, you’ve got to be able to move on to the next one. I was never a guy that could do that. I got better as my career went on, but if anyone said anything to me about it, or I thought about it more, especially in the middle of a game, I wasn’t tough enough mentally to handle that. The greatest thing for helping me learn to coach was failing as a player.”

You mean the same guy who averages a paltry 1.6 bpg in his career? This isn't Mutombo or Mark Eaton we are talking about. I am perfectly happy with Tatum trying to posterize somebody like Drummond - he is more than capable.

I also like the fact he is willing to try. Fearless is a good trait to be for an up and coming superstar. The only way to fly higher is to bravely step to the edge and be willing to take that leap.
