When Brad looks back on this season he's going to regret not giving Green more minutes the 2nd half of the season.  I'm pretty sure the reason was they wanted to develop Brown but Gerald is their best option at this point to get some scoring from anyone besides IT.  Bradley's not back on track yet and too many others have flat out stunk.

Brad has had it with Amir.  I was at Game 1 and just watching Brad's body language when he yanked Amir in the 3rd quarter you could tell he was p---ed.  And Johnson has played like crap this entire series.  He's a big part of why they're down 0-2.

I understand the Amir stuff, but I don't understand him choosing Green, which doesn't make sense to me.

So is he guarding Mirotic now, or is Jae? I thought JJ was the much more logical option here, but we'll see how this works out.

Oh man I said almost the same thing as you in the Starters game #3 thread.  Completely  feels like a Hail Mary.  To.

I gotta think Green guards Mir.  Jae needs to get back to being a defensive stopper and get into Jimmy Bulter's jock and stop worrying about anything other than that.  Please no more of Avery guarding Butler, he doesn't have the size, neither does Smart.

I think Gerald ends up covering Mirotic.  You needs to keep Jae on Butler and Bradley on Wade.  I would have Gerald attack Mirotic right away on the defensive end of the floor.  It will be interesting to see how the Bulls plan on matching up with us.  If they are smart they will have Mirotic cover Crowder.

I like the decision.  Release a vet that can get us bad needed offense, and let's just stop pretending we even have a frontcourt.  Roll out with your best players, regardless of position, and live with the results.

If "Gerald Green starts a must win playoff game for the Celtics" isn't a sign of the apocalypse then it should be.  Strange days.

I've started an apoca-list to help enjoy life before it ends at the hands of the Chicago Bulls or North Korea.

Prediction time - I'm guessing we see a much better effort by the C's and win this game comfortably. Losing Rondo is the exact type of change that Hoiberg will have trouble adjusting to, let alone the players, and combining that with a better overall effort by the C's, I think we win this one going away.

Brad's love affair with small ball is barf inducing.  The C's are -14 in 30 minutes so far in the series when they do not have 2 big men on the floor.

so one of scal's observations in pregame was - "we need to attack the basket". I've been saying this forever. guarantee we come out shootin jump shots... contested jump shots no less.

Interesting starting lineup.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.
