Hoping to pick up a good rim protecting, rebounding machine this season

Those are easy to find…you could trade for Andre Drummond. The issue is finding on that also fits into our switch everything philosophy  :police:

Mo Bamba would be a great fit I think. Am just not sure if Brad’s willing to trade Gallo to get it done. White  is too valuable to give up I think.

Great finish for the guys. And a much better game from Joe. I feel like he learned his lesson a bit from Cleveland with needing to be a bit more active in his management of the game.

He will have some growing pains as the year goes on.

Learning how to close out tight games was an important lesson for Joe's Celtics today. Let's now kick on and go on a winning run

Smart must become 6th man off bench. Sorry but it is Brogdon starting followed by DWhite followed by Smart. Smart, simply put, is a role player.
I'd rather bring offense off the bench. There are only so many shots available with the Jays out there together. Brogdon going against reserves is a plus for the C's. Plus the last 4 minutes are what matters and Brogdon will be a part of that unit all season.

We saw it tonight. Joe mixed and matched with Smart & White and Smart ended up making a key play when he got his hand on an offensive rebound and tapped it to Tatum who drew a foul that lead to vital FT's. Brogdon is part of Mazz's best 5. That he doesn't start doesn't matter.

What most impressed me tonight was the bench. They defended better than the starting unit and played great offense. I love the matchup of Brogdon vs backups and with Hauser - and yes, Kornet stepping things up plus Grant - that's a solid unit. At some point this team is going to go on a run where they win something like 13 out of 15 and their bench will be a big part of the reason for it happening.

Tatum----was awesome
Brogdon----was great too, few too many turnovers though
Kornet---really did a good job and disrupted the Bulls offense
Hauser---getting better all the time
Bench Unit---did really well
Joe---Smartened up and kept Brogdon in the clutch minutes

Brown---SUCKED ALL NIGHT, Kept The Bulls in it all by himself...was he shaving points or something??

He was questionable for the game with an illness

Agree! People want Smart to go to the bench because he’s a role player. But it’s when he remembers he’s a role player that he’s the perfect complement to the starters. Let Brogdon lead the second unit.

The defense is worrying me. Feels like we're giving up 110+ regularly to opponents. We're not going to be a legit contender if our plan is to just outscore teams in shootouts most times

I don’t have any data to back me up, but it seems like teams are just having an easier time driving and scoring or getting to the line against the Celtics. Also, scoring seem to up across the league, I wonder how much that’s due to elimination of the “take” foul

I think the D was much better the past 2 games though. It’s still gonna be a month or so without Rob so I hope Joe still improves the D from where it is now.

You can't expect hard nosed, intense defense for 82 games. We've been working on our offense from the beginning-which everyone agreed needed a lot of work. The defense will come later on, it's easier to implement than the offense.
