Doncic putting an absolute clinic against France right now. Dragic, gobert, Fournier, poirier and others all playing. Yabu appears to injured or just sitting out.

"The Clinic" would be a great nick name for Luka.
Yeah, that's an awesome nickname!  It sounded classic as soon I read it.

The Klynyk?

Would have worked better for Kelly Olynyk!  It almost spells itself.

Too bad, with exception of one crazy Game 7, he has not put on a whole lot of clinics, besides hair styling.
Yup

Wow, $33mil 3 yrs for Kleber in Dallas. That is a lot of money for an average, heck ... probably a below average bench player.

Grant Williams is going to get a nice payday.

I think they are pretty comparable players. Not sure what Grant has done to warrant more money.

Kleber: 24mpg: 7ppg, 5.9rebs, 1.2ast

G-Will: 24mpg: 7.8ppg, 3.6rebs, 1ast

Both have similar career 3pt shooting percentages, although Kleeber has played several more season. I think I’d actually prefer Kleeber since he’s a legit 6’10”/240lbs and is a much better rebounder.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

The NBA has informed teams that the 2023-24 salary cap is currently projected to be $134 million ($10.4M higher than this season), with $162M tax level, per sources. Both are $1M higher than previous projections.

I don't have a problem with the Kleber contract.  He's limited on offense as a catch-and-shoot guy who doesn't create, but he's a sneaky good defender with some versatility.  As long as his shooting accuracy bounces back to career norms (and his performance in the playoffs gives reason for optimism there), I don't mind that package for 8% of the cap.  He's a decent player.

These $11 million contracts per year will look dirt cheap in 3 years or so given the cap increases coming after the new TV contracts take effect. In 2025, both Williams boys getting about $12 million a year could look like massive bargain contracts, if both develop more and stay healthy.

I bet it’s going to wind up close to $136 million ultimately.  Entering the 2020-2021 season they agreed to limit increases to 10% in exchange for not having a Covid contraction.  Revenue rebounded much more quickly than they expected, so it went up by 10% last year and the same this year seems probable.

Yeah, if the cap is sitting at around $135m, then it's around 9%. That seems like a very team-friendly proportion of the cap for two significant players.

Kyrie irving shared an Alex Jones video today saying he tried to warn us featuring Alex Jones warning of plagues. I think the people that lost it on me for calling kyrie unhinged may owe me an apology lol.

Meh that still doesn't count as unhinged.

I don’t know.  Most Alex Jones followers are pretty untethered from reality.

I think we're all in agreement that Kyrie's an 'open minded' idiot.

I still say that this doesn't, and didn't, mean he's unhinged - there's no psychotic break happening here, there's no derangement. When he's eating paste on a live stream, then you'll have a point. But if it makes you feel better, he's definitely got his mind so open that his brain seems to have fallen out :)
Man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much—the wheel, New York, wars and so on—whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time.

But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man—for precisely the same reasons.

Is there any possibility Kyrie is ‘playing’?  I realize he doesn’t seem to have a great sense of humor, but passive-aggressive agitating might be in his repertoire.  Flat Earth and all.
