Isn't this basically the same as the other thread you just created?

Well, he’d be 27-33 over a 5-year deal, turning 33 in March of his final year. So basically, this contract covers his prime. It’s not like Chris Paul’a monster deal, which *starts* when he’s 33.

Easy choice.  Kyrie for the max.  Unless, you’re not actually trying to win I guess.

Except for the numerous players who will be paid that

Not even a question. If we want to win, Kyrie. And Wyc wants to win

You don't get rid of a dollar to make room for a quarter. Now that we finally have top-end talent, why would we let it go in favor of a guy like Rozier?

It's not even like we'd have cap room if we let Kyrie go
I'm bitter.

love roze but for me it's easy, Kyrie. You will come to see how easy it's going to be for DA and company too.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Kyrie.

I expect the cap to keep rising as the league becomes more popular.

I think this is the prob the biggest point. If you pass on Kyrie, can you replace him with someone as good? If so, won't that player cost a lot?

I understand the OP's point. For it to make sense, however, Rozier needs to elevate his game to something close to Kyrie's game. If you think Rozier will = Kyrie, then yes, sign Rozier.

People will disagree.  But Irving has a chance to be a hall of famer. He is arguably a top 2-3 point guard right now
