Tatum is gone; I think we will have to include Brown too, sadly.

Griffin must knows that Danny is not just getting Davis in the trade, he is also getting Kyrie, and will leverage that fact to the hilt.

Griffin does not want to be known as another notch in Danny's belt.  When on ESPN with Rachel Nichols, she asked him would he just hang up the phone when Danny called, since Danny is so sneaky.  I hate that perception, but it is out there, and Grif is mindful of it.

Banner 18 is not coming with Brad, Kyrie, and Hayward.  Trust me

Matter fact Kyrie's last 4 games looked like a big F-U to Boston and their fans.

Yes, they could. The importance of the Knicks or Lakers getting the 3rd and 4th picks isnt that we would have to include both Brown or Tatum in a trade, its that those ideas of swapping in Brown for Tatum or trading Tatum without Smart are dead. Tatum has too be in the deal because he's the best piece realistically being offered in trade talks, if you don't its very close  and NOP probably just goes with a Barret package  because unlike Brown he has 4 year on his rookie deal, not 1.

But ya, I would be shocked if it has to be both Brown and Tatum, I just don't see who has a better package than Tatum, Smart, MEM, 3 firsts this year and maybe Williams. But we will have to deal Tatum.

Can the Pelicans do better than that package?  Yes, with their eyes closed and hands tied behind their back.  Frankly, I think at this point we have to hope that the Pelicans still value Tatum more than some other pieces that they could get from other teams.

If they don't, then the Celts have no shot.

There is a reason we have an Anthony Davis Trade Thread. Please, even if you have a new take, idea or question and it's about an Anthony Davis trade, post it here. The site doesn't need 100 different threads all discussing the same topic.

NOP isn't trading Zion.

I don't think they'd trade him even if Davis promised to sign the super max extension.

I agree, although that would be more about selling tickets them play on the court I think. I would bet my life savings that Zion never becomes nearly as good as Davis in the NBA.

Not just ticket sales, but also team control and cost. Zion is locked up for 7 to 9 years at non-max money. (though as the number one pick he's not cheap either)

Davis would be getting the absolute most allowable and still only be locked up on a  4 + 1 (PO). Plus could you really trust him not to demand a trade AGAIN if Bradley Beal or whatever other running mate they brought in ended up flopping?

I'm expecting AD to be traded somewhere for an underwhelming return that will be panned by most people. Some of the proposals on other sites are unrealistic IMO and just teams outbidding themselves.

NO's going to be a circus if they enter next season forced by the NBA to play him at least 20 minutes a game. Their chemistry already sucked last season, and AD was dogging it. That, and the threat of being a rental with a preferred FA destination. AD already got fined for the gesture at an NO fan. And also that That's All Folks AD T-Shirt before the final game of the season LOL.

Jimmy Butler in MIN type drama. Kawhi, George, Butler, Kyrie all were traded for somewhat underwhelming returns (at the time) compared to all the rumors of proposed trade packages with more picks + assets.

This isn't Brooklyn or NYK  (Carmelo, Deron Williams, KG/PP, etc.). Time to reset with Zion and ship AD out ASAP

Hey guys, just saw that Steve Bulpett said that NO considers the Celtics the most attractive trade partner in case they can't convince AD to stay. THE HOPE IS STILL ALIVE! Haha
