What is your reasoning behind Tatum over Brown?

I think Brown deserves it this time. His overall defense is better.

He set some interesting records also this season

Looks pretty good.

Booker vs Mitchell is always an interesting debate.

Tatum is better than Brown.  Not even all that close and with all the injuries forward is weaker than guard, which makes it a very easy decision.

Reportedly, Embiid is now eligible as a Forward - presumably to get him on the 1st Team with Jokic. This is awesome news if you are hoping Tatum misses out, saving the Cs $32M on his max contract.

1st Team: Jokic, Embiid, Giannis, Curry, Luka
2nd Team: Gobert, Kawhi, Lebron, Dame, Beal
3rd Team: Bam, Randle, Zion, Booker, Kyrie

For those hoping Tatum makes it, he still has to beat out Butler and George, as well.

Embiid being listed as a forward and Tatum listed as a guard are complete jokes and utterly disrespectful to the game of basketball.  Anyone that votes that way should have their voting rights rescinded.

And if Embiid wants to be on the 1st team, then maybe he shouldn't miss a quarter of the season.  I mean he has missed 20 games.  He doesn't belong on the 1st team or in the MVP race missing that many games.  No one does.  It is why I don't have Leonard, Embiid, or James on my 1st team and put them all on the 2nd team.

If Tatum makes an all nba spot next season

Is he still eligible for some amounts of the 32 million?

On what logical planet is Embiid a forward?
I dont get it

I get the concept - trying to get the best players to make All-NBA, especially 1st Team. But usually there needs to be some reasoning behind it. In this case, neither Embiid nor Tatum have ever once played the positions they are now eligible for.

And, no, if Tatum misses All-NBA this season, he simply receives a 25% max contract, rather than a 30% max contract. It's too bad it wasn't set up like almost every other rookie extension where if Tatum made 3rd Team, he would get like 26%, but I guess the situation is what it is. Ainge was clearly desperate to get Tatum signed - he didn't even get the 5th year guaranteed with the 30% clause.

Absurd that Embiid is listed as a forward. Pretty sure he has not played a single minute as a forward this year.

1st team
Jokic
Giannis
Leonard
Doncic
Curry

2nd team
Embiid
Williamson
Butler
Beal
Lillard

3rd team
Gobert
Randle
George
Young
Irving

(as a rule I have players to need to have played 2/3 of the games, that's 49+, so in this way Harden, James, Davis, Durant are not eligible)

Yep.  I was serious, anyone that votes him as a forward should lose their voting privileges.
