I am pretty sure Brooklyn will sign him like every other free agent or buyout.

He looks like he finally got himself into shape. Who knows, maybe he can eventually work his way back into the NBA.

Can't say I'm impressed by the competition, though.

Update: Anyang KGC broke the record for longest win streak in the playoffs going a perfect 10-0.
Jared Sullinger has been named MVP of the League putting up 42 and 15 in the championship game.

Sulley was clearly too talented for the level of competition but it's not like every supposedly washed up NBA player would have bullied his way to a perfect playoff record en route to the championship. Good on Sullinger, South Korean Legend.

Wouldn’t Sully be an upgrade over Grant at this point?

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

He would be but he has a lot of the same problems too on defense.  He can rebound.  But folks realize that GM's jobs arev on the line every year and no one has called him up?  That ought to speak volumes.

I don’t know.  Sully put up very good stats in one of the worst professional leagues in the world.  So did Shawn Long., who is completely devoid of NBA talent.

True, but he did average 13ppg and 8reb in his second season in the NBA. He was also overweight by 30-40 pounds at that time. Sully’s now down to 250lbs and looks quicker. He’s still only 28, could be worth a second look.

IF (big IF) Sully were in shape and brought back, he could be a serious upgrade to our bench front court.  he was always a solid rebounder and scorer around the basket when he was with us.

He had bad draft metrics in vertical leap as I recall.   The guy can rebound.   But I for one, think he was horrible help defender and a poor shooter

Please watch this video on this site.

You will see that he still can't jump over a phonebook and the competition is poor.   It reminds me of this phrase:

he didn't rely on jumping over people to get rebounds.  he relied on positioning, boxing out and hustle.  that's what made him effective under the boards.  was able to get off shots at the basket for the same reason.  it's something we don't see with TT, Semi or GWill.

Did you watch the video the competition was pathetic.

He relied on his backside, and hustle was not part of his game.   He has good hands and viewed every rebound as a pass to himself which the great rebounders do.

But the defensive lapses, only being able to play positional defense, and not slide over to help or rim protect is the same problems we have with Grant except Sully can rebound.   By positional defense I mean holding his space in the post which we sorely lack but he was poor in every other defensive metric.

here some other NBA guys over there, the g league would be better competition
