This is a live stream of Anyang KGC vs Mobis Phoebus.

Jared Sullinger hadn't played in years since retiring from China when he joined up with Anyang KGC in South Korea mid season. Sullinger has been putting up dominant performances and his team is rolling the playoffs.

Go get it Sulley.

I watched the CLNS video with Cedric Maxwell. He said he loves the Jabari signing but would have rather had Sully. Interesting take for sure.

He looks great.  He’s lost a lot of weight and looks fit.  He’s down to 260.  Here’s a video of him doing an interview with Maxwell.  I barely recognized him because his face is so thin.

https://youtu.be/GJ1OW0nOZuE

There’s no reason not to invite him to next training camp.  He was always skilled, he just ate himself out of the league.

Thompson is a better version of Sully.   Sully could not defend, switch or the like.

Like I said in another thread there are GMs who job is on the line every year and none of them, not one single one has decided to take a chance on Sully.   That ought to speak volumes to you......

Check out the 13 minute mark of this video. Nasty, Dirk-like rockaway, that was a huge shot.

Not saying we should sign him but good to see him out there finding success.

Sullinger is much more skilled on offense than Thompson. Not the defender that Thompson is, but he can be passable on D when focused and in decent shape.

Looks like he slimmed down a bit. This guy was a talented player. It’s a shame he couldn’t get his body under control.

Just as a reminder, Pierre Jackson and Darius Adams recently averaged 40 ppg in the CBA.  If you’re asking yourself “who?”, that’s kind of the point.

I've watched a few games because I work for Korean company and one of my co-workers used to work for KGC.

It's the classic high-energy and effort but no true talent. When Sullinger has a smaller players switched on to him, it's over. He can feast on any board that comes near him and in general can expect to find little to no resistance at the rim.

He will however have to navigate opposing guards trying to strip him constantly but I found that doesn't seem to bother him much. I will say it seems like they don't typically double team very often in this league.

Based on the limited amount that I've seen he's probably the best player that I've come across buy a fairly wide margin.

Edit:FWIW I have also seen him get gassed and dog some possessions in the 4th but those were in games that he was instrumental in getting the team ahead early.

I am glad for Sully. He could have been a very good NBA player. But we all know the story. Glad to see him doing well.

TP to the OP for the thread.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

agreed.  all those struggles we've seen Thompson have on offense where he can't get a clear shot or looks like he's just tossing it towards the basket were non-issues with Sully.  He had a very good touch around the basket.  pretty good rebounder too.

I'd like to see him go to the G League or Europe before really thinking about him. Those places play much more legit ball than China or Korea
