Just heard that Wolves have agreed in principle to send OJ Mayo, Marko Jaric and Antoine Walker to Memphis for Kevin Love, Mike Miller and Brian Cardinal.

i like the trade for the wolves... not quite sure about memphis... they have conley already and they gave up a very good miller for an out of shape toine. are they going to give up on conley? or are they just gunna play oj at the 2?

Timberwolves will be adding Greg Buckner to the deal while the Grizzlies throw in the great Jason Collins.

I can see how this makes sense for both teams.

Horrible trade for Minny.  If love plays PF and Al plays C, that's 2 undersized and poor-defending bigs.  Not a good pair up front.

What was McHale thinking? Mayo and Big Al would have been fun to watch. Memphis wins this trade.

Yeah, the X factor of this trade is Jason Collins. /sarcasm off.

Kevin Love and Big Al in the front court... that could be pretty dangerous but I'm not really sure what type of NBA player Love will be.
Who said the East was the JV conference? See you next year, Mr. Bryant!

Well I don't have a clue on why each team would do this? Surely McHale wouldn't want such an undersized front court of Big Al and Love?

I think he's lost the plot... :-\

Poor Al.  He's never gonna reach his potential playing Center.  It's such a shame.

So why did they trade Chalmers?

I think this trade make zero sense for either team.

Memphis used the #4 overall last year on Conley and used their  1st round pick 2 years ago on Lowry, they now have a log jam at PG . For minny it doesnt make much sense because they need a PG and then anything other then a PF. Love will not be able to play with Jefferson against big teams.

This is a terrible trade for Minnesota. Mchale has no clue what he is doing there. Minnesota had the opportunity to have two all stars together for ten years, (Mayo and Jefferson). Now they will have one all star and a a bunch of mediocre players. Not to mention that love and Big Al play the same position. Terrible, terrible trade for Minne. I'm not even a Minne fan, just a Jefferson fan. It is a shame to see such a great player in Jefferson on a team that just made a terrible trade.

I was a firm believer that Mayo was going to be the best to come out of this draft. The timberwolves just traded away their potentially best player.

McHale looks real good now. He got the better talent (IMO). He got the better fit. He got rid of the worse contract.

Chris Wallace is the gift that keeps on giving.

Do you think Danny promised to get Wallace a job last year as part of the KG trade? Minny's also in position to make another move. They have Jefferson, Love, Smith, and Gomes who all play the four (some play another position too.) They have Miller who would be very useful to a lot of teams. They also have a net positive in picks now and great cap position.

Hollinger will LOVE this deal :)
