I like how people are bringing up the possibility of Lebron ever sustaining an injury. That's just impossible!

I agree with others with the Wilt records. While the NBA was definitely competitive back then, the overall level of the league was not what it is today. It is almost comparable to the UCONN women winning by 88 points the other night. Wilt's numbers were just wacky.

As for unbreakable records, I will go ahead an add AJ Green's 1192 consecutive games played streak to the list. There is no way anybody will ever come close to approaching that number given the amount of rest days players receive nowadays.

I think you meant AC Green, not the Bengals receiver. That said, even more impressive than his games played streak is his abstinence streak that was broken when he was married at age 38. For an NBA player, especially today, that record will never be touched.

Haha - whoops!  ;D TP for the correction. I would claim hitting the wrong key, but the 'j' and 'c' aren't really close to each other on the keyboard. Too early for me, I guess (daylight savings and St. Patrick's aren't a great combo).

I guess Green probably hold two records that will never be broken by another NBA player. That abstinence streak is something to behold!

As someone already pointed out, AC Green's consecutive games played record seems about as unbreakable as any.

NOBODY will match Lebron's record of most flops resulting in near death then "miraculously" recovering to show the courage to finish the game.

- John Stockton's assists records (15,806 career) will never be touched because of how the ball is shared now.

This record is kind of crazy. Stockton has 3715 more assists than Jason Kidd (#2 all time) and Kidd has a 1756 assist lead on #3 (Steve Nash, with Mark Jackson just 1 assist behind him in 4th).

That 3715 assist gap between #1 and #2 would be the equivalent of a player averaging 10 apg for more than four and a half seasons, without missing a game.

Stockton's whole career is nuts. He was a 22 year old rookie and wasn't a full time starter until his 4th year when he was 25 and still put up these counting stats. The most of it happened during a 5 year period (from '87 to '92) where he missed only 4 games and averaged 14 apg, totalling 5670 assists over that span.

That's 5670 assists in 5 seasons. That's more assists than Chauncey Billups (5636), Allen Iverson (5624), Mike Bibby (5517), Dennis Johnson (5499), Doc Rivers (4889), Joe Dumars (4612), Jason Williams (4611), Jojo White (4095), or Scott Skiles (3881) amassed in their entie careers.
1957, 1959, 1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1968, 1969, 1974, 1976, 1981, 1984, 1986, 2008

over 50% of the field goals scored while John was on the floor he assisted on. Every other bucket his entire career he put the ball in that guys hand. Mind blowing really. I'd love to know how many where to Karl.

Let us not forget Karl is 2nd all time in field goals attempted.
ok fine

I don't think anyone gets more blocks than the Dream. Dikembe is 2nd all time and jusy under 600 less than the Dream. And I get that Wilt and Bill might very well have more than the Dream but they didn't keep the stat then so you can't count them

I also don't think anyone averages more ppg than Jordan for their career.  The only way it could ever happen is someone walking away in their prime before the late career reduction that everyone goes through.

Wilt seems unfair he has a few categories he's one two three four and six. Like for instance points per game for season.

1. Wilt Chamberlain 50.36
2. Wilt Chamberlain 44.83
3. Wilt Chamberlain - 38.39
4. Wilt Chamberlain - 37.60
5. Michael Jordan - 37.09
6. Wilt Chamberlain - 36.85
ok fine
