Broad shoulders = better strength base.

Jordan did not have narrow shoulders.   I've seen guys with narrow shoulders take roids and it not help them get big because they didn't have the genes so to speak.

Bob Cousy was the king of narrow shoulders.

Kareem had narrow shoulders as well.

Neither known for their strength.   Narrow shoulders on a seven footer is probably better than a six footer.

Two is all you could come up with it?   I can name a lot with broad shoulders and narrow waist.

Barton is not even a 1st rounder on most mock's.  Moe is a lot more realistic where we will be picking.

I would have no issue with the Cs taking Will Barton in the 1st. If Danny is confident in his shooting touch and the teams ability to bulk him up then great because the talent is definitely there. His combination of high high school ranking, athleticism, and college stats (especially rebounding) leave me with little doubt that he will develop into at least a 6th -7th man in the nba and very possibly more. He actually seems like a similare prospect to AB.

Aside from JJJ, yeah. There's probably others, but you'll note that Cousy and Kareem came from another, more finesse oriented era, and had Hall of Fame skills.

I guess it's just not really a game that lends itself to narrow shoulders at the top level.

Oh, Andrew Nicholson has fairly narrow shoulders.

Shoulders create space too, let you post up and hog more ground on D.

Haven't seen enough of Harkless to judge him, but I'd be more partial to Royce White: love to get a quality big man late in the draft.

Fully on board with Will Barton.

White is an ok prospect but won't fit well with our system. He definitely won't be able to run with Rondo.

Why not?  He's very mobile for a 4/5.

Boris Diaw played very well with Steve Nash.

White is in no way shape or form a 5.  At best a smaller 4 (height wise..)

Will Barton is only 175 lbs!

That's lighter than Rondo!

great, great video. ha, ha...actually, cousy and rondo are quite comparable in terms of passing and shot style. both are brilliant.

tp for you.

true. But he will only gain weight from now on. I guess the mystery here teams don't like is, if Barton is 200-205 ,in two years how will that affect his play. Will be still be as athletic? As quick?

I really like this kid's basketball iq. He knows when to shoot, vs when to slash, vs when to pass. Perfect fit on docs system

I would definitely prefer Jared Cunningham to Will Barton. He's a better athlete, defensive player and gets to the foul line at a higher rate. Plus Cunningham is a beast in transition.
