This thread is so others can critique your team, it's needs and whether or not people think it's better than before the draft.

I'll start:

1. Derrick Rose
2. Nicolas Batum
3. Danillo Gallinari
4. Emeka Okafor
5. Joakim Noah.

I'm mixed.  Okafor and Noah are two classic "lane cloggers"; I'm not sure how they'll work on offense, especially with a poor shooting PG.  I'm not sure what to think of Batum and Gallinari.  However, Rose is the real deal.

True, you know how I feel on the subject of lane clogging. But I couldn't find anyone willing to deal a rangy 4 for Okafor and couldn't trade up to grab any of the ones I want so I was "stuck" sticking with how good these two are on D.

Are the team's to be judged solely on current ability?

Or current ability + potential? Whether they have room for enough internal growth to develop into (hopefully) a contender down the road (if not already)?

I'd certainly be happy to hear your thoughts on both.

Yes and no. I think there is more talent on the Timberpuppies, but I don't think its a great fit yet.

I probably need a trade to get a better fit or make some picks to fill in some needed roles on the team.

Probably a bright future, but you're going to need a PG for the next two years at least, probably 3.

If Rubio waits three years he avoids being cost controlled in the NBA for four years. Considering how much he will be paid in Europe that's what everyone expects of him.

Well without Rubio and Griffin, they're going to struggle this season. Though still have a leg up on Golden State... Look out in 2011-12.

If you win the John Wall sweepstakes which PG do you trade? Assuming the interest in Wall is higher.

Wow, fun team, love the players 1 through 4.

Lot of players who need the ball offensively though. Best to trade Kaman for a defensive minded five who doesn't need the basketball. Like Marcin Gortat or Sam Dalembert.

Yes you do.

Real Celtics are better because how do you replace the missing talent of Pierce and Perk?

I dislike two parts about that team (1) The bigs inability to step away from the rim and hit a jump shot (2) Neither Batum or Gallinari are good enough ball handlers + passers to help Derrick Rose out at this point in time.

However, I think Gallinari has very good potential as a playmaker down the road. Just not this season. So that problem will sort itself out in time.

Trade Okafor for a big man who can hit a jump shot and that team has an excellent future. Joakim Noah can defend both the PF and C positions at a high level so he gives you a little added flexibility when choosing the second big (better to keep him closer to the rim though).

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
PG's Devin Harris V Devin Harris
SG's Courtney Lee V Thabo Sefelosha- I think Thabo is the better player on a team that limits him offensively. I know he's the better defender, but probably a more limited offensive player
SF's Chris Douglas Roberts V Omri Casspi- Omri has been one of the best rookies in the league this year. Omri all the way.
PF's Yi/Kris Humphries V Nene - Nene in a Brazilian landslide
C's Brook Lopez V Brook Lopez

I think my team is better.
