Trades between the C's and the Lakers are rare, but they do happen. We've made 3 trades with them. The last one was in 2004.

So here's what I have in mind:

Brandon Ingram to the C's for Morris + either the Kings or the Memphis pick + either the Clips or the C's 2019 pick

Why for Boston
We sell high on Morris and we replace him with a very promising prospect. Hopefully we raise his trade value in the playoffs and we flip him next summer alongside other assets for AD. Worst case scenario, we keep him and we have 3 amazing wing prospects in Ingram, Brown and Tatum. All 3 of them are about the same age and could coexist in the same lineup going forward --> Kyrie - Brown - Ingram - Tatum - Williams

Why for LA
LeBron wants battle-hardened vets, not young prospects. He's all-in for a championship run.
They clear cap space for next summer.
They add picks to offer to the Pels for AD.

They wouldn't offer up Ingram in Kawhi talks. They're not offering him up for Marcus Morris Sr.

SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan

No way they do it straight up for Morris. What about Morris + picks though?

With Tatum, Brown, Smart, and Hayward on the roster Ingram is redundant. No, thanks.

But what about THIS wing prospect

I see no mention of GH in your post.

And no to this trade, btw. Ingram - while talented - won't fit in with our future roster.

You're undermining yourself. You said in your post that Lebron wants vets - I agree to an extent - so why should they care about the pick? If they move Ingram, it's going to be in a package for an all-star. He may be more valuable in an AD deal than a pick.

Cause they could still use these picks in a trade for AD.

Again, I don't really see the logic in it for them. Picks are nice, but they're still unknowns. I think Ingram - knowing the talent base that's already there - holds more weight in a trade than picks.

Nope. I like Morris as a Celtic and we'll need his veteran presence and toughness in the playoffs.

Trading Morris + 1sts for Ingram is a win value wise, but it's a loss.

This is a Championship team, but it needs chemistry and the young players to speed their development. Trading Morris (veteran) for Ingram (prospect) hurts chemistry because it's a move you make when you have a non contending team. The vets and coaching staff would be insulted.

The Lakers wouldn't "give up" on Ingram this early either. They're going to move him if he doesn't step up this year or early next at the latest, but they're going to move him for someone more valuable than MM.

Not sure why either team would do this. LA view Ingram as a potential future All-Star level player and can probably get more than this, and on the other end Ingram wouldn't fit here
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

What makes you think that he wouldn't fit here?

I assume lakers want to keep Ingram as the centerpiece of an Anthony Davis trade

I keep up with Lakers

Ingram isn't very good this season. Like to the point where his ceiling looks much lower than originally thought. To the point where he may not be worth the rookie extension money

He hasn't made a leap but his stats are nearly identical to last year's. I don't really know if that's off course from what was expected considering his role on the team and the way he's utilized is completely different than last year.
