12 in a row  8)

Glad we got the win, it would have been outrageous to lose on that bogus offensive foul on Tatum. It's crazy how poised he looks for a rookie in crunch time, I feel like he is going to score every time he drives to the basket and gets by his defender while extending his long arms to the basket !

Great win without Kyrie, it would be nice to secure an easy one against Brooklyn and then put the streak on the line against the Warriors.

Celtics have won 12 straight since Kyrie Irving told a 76ers fan to "suck" one lol.

I can't help but think what this team will be like when they actually get healthy.

Why on earth was Smart taking that last shot...it should be Tatum.

Im so glad we escaped that one.
Toronto is a very good team but if this was last year's team we easily would have lost this one.
The Jay's are really impressive..a slight bone head play by Jayson but still it was a flop there by that toronto pmayer.

You know this ticks off the Raptors. They were our bullies the last few years. No longer. We just bullied them into a win without two of our best players.

Great win, even with the miscues late in the game.

On a related note, that was totally an offensive foul on Tatum. You just aren't allowed to swing your elbows like that. I don't think it was a flagrant, but I remember a couple of similar situations last year where I believe that was the call.

Really happy to get the win and Tatum played great, overall - just some learning to do in the process on his path to the HOF.

Tatum's finger roll is straight out of the 70s highlight films

Great team win! Rozier I thought was huge besides the obvious culprits. Hope to see KI Tuesday.

This team is spooky defensively, and their poor percentage shooting the ball is offset by the volume of shots they take.

good stuff

the win is a win , but the margin gets smaller every game.  ;D   Great win minus Hayward and Irving ....thats spotting Raptors like 30 points , 12 rebounds , and 12 assists minimun......that bench has to come up with

This is a really typical Marcus Smart game. Their guards are crushing ours. No real defense to speak of. Also he's doing nothing notable on offense. The front court is doing all the work.

But the game is within a point, so all he really needs to do is in the last minute get a critical steal, then rebound and hit a three and he's the hero. Give him a huge contract.

Rozier can do what he does for less money.

Ignorant. You just simply have no idea what you're talking about, do you? Marcus and Brown have both played excellent defense, yet Lowry is hitting ridiculous shots from way downtown despite their good D. But that's somehow their fault, huh?
Let me get this straight. Lowry is making ridiculous shots. Therefore Marcus is playing great defense. That's a very interesting theory. I call it the Marcus-can-do-no-wrong Theory.

That's a non-sequitor. Lowry was hitting ridiculous shots. The fact that he had to take ridiculous shots is good team defense.

Smart ended the game with 14, 9, 5, and 2, with 2 TOs, and a +11 net rating.
Lowry ended the game with 19, 7, 2, and 1, with 3 TOs, and a -4 net rating.

You'd be hard-pressed to argue that Smart was "crushed."

Edit: for that matter ...

Brown ended with 18, 3, 3, and 2 on a +6 rating.
DeRozan ended with 24, 3, 4, and 0 on a -4 rating.
