Rondo is not a MVP caliber player.

Disagree. Where's BballTim?!

Off the top of my head I'd say these are the only MVP caliber players

LeBron
Durant
Kobe
Paul
Parker
Melo
Dwight

Maybe even Rose and Westbrook.

Rondo isn't as good as Parker? What has melo done compared to rajon? Rondo has outperformed both Howard and melo in the playoffs. He's done it against James. He's a bad man!

Led the league in triple doubles while playing like half a season. Dude is a legit freak and stud.

No. Rondo is not as good as Parker and everyone outside of CB would agree.

I think a lot of people on CB would agree too
Parker is MVP material
Although I defend rondo he isn't on parker's level

Kane, I think your point about rondo's playoff performances is true but its not necessarily a measure of MVP stature.  Personally if the celts are in the playoffs I wouldnt be surprised if Rondo outplayed any player in the NBA over the course of a 7 game series other than Lebron.  But part of that is the fact that rondo turns it on and off.   If Rondo played a whole season at that level then he would be an mvp player.
CB Draft LA Lakers: Lamarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony,Jrue Holiday, Wes Matthews  6.11, 7.16, 8.14, 8.15, 9.16, 11.5, 11.16

Exactly, TP
If he put in a consistent effort he would be amazing

I honestly don't know if its effort or what but its clear that Rondo is very good for most games and flat out amazing in some games, and those games usually happen to be on national TV

Coincidence? I think not
Just kidding, I'm not sure if it's a matter of effort or if he just isn't a consistent basketball player, but if he could constantly play at playoff level and have the odd 40 point game with triple doubles being a common occurrence I would be very happy with him, not sure how many people would want to trade him then
Though I'm sure some celtics fans would find a flaw in his game

I think the fact that Rondo only plays top flight ball in the postseason is what irks most. During that time, you could argue Rondo rains down on "MVPs" and is one of the top 5 players in the entire league. Personally, I have no problem with that, because ultimately the postseason is what matters. However, MVPs are expected to lead their team all 82 games plus the playoffs. When compared to some of the names thrown out, Rondo definitely doesn't compare.

I am now owed free agent signings from Miami and Golden State to reach the minimum roster limit of 13 players. You have about 26 hours to get to done.

A pretty good return for Tony Parker, I think.

Smith joins AK47 and Big Al on the new Mavs frontline?
