So now that we dumped Baynes and we traded away #20, how much cap space do we have available?

Well, on ESPN they were saying with Kyrie and Horford gone, it opens up $20 million in cap space. Now with Baynes gone
(see ya!), it opens up an additional $5 million.

So I believe hovering around $25 million. Not too shabby. I think the Celts already have a free agent or two in mind.
ESPN has the Celtics not renouncing Rozier is my guess because these trades should make it so the Celtics have a bit above $35 million in space, if my math is right

Here's what's really interesting about the Suns trade - they were a suitor for Russell in free agency. However, now they don't have the cap space to sign him.

We may be targeting Russell as a free agent this summer.

Moving Baynes and renouncing the rest of their free agents could get Celtics to as much as $34m in space but Boston must decide on future of players like Rozier to get there.

Cap space in Phoenix now is at a projected $14M after the Boston trade to acquire Aron Baynes and the rights to Ty Jerome.

I think Celts will sign Vucevic.

Celts now have the cap space for Vooch.

Very strong possibility! Which I would be very happy with!

Also fits Steven Adams,  hes on $24m

Would prefer vucevic personally

I hope Baynes can land somewhere more competitive than PHX. He was a good guy and hard worker and we’ll miss having him around.

Not psyched about giving him away for nothing along with a 1st; but at least we are getting a future 1st in the deal. We have too many picks this year anyway and you can never have enough 1sts for trades.

All this cap space is interesting, though.

Even better! IF this is Ainge's goal, then more power to him. Let's also not forget we still have trade ammo with Tatum, Brown and Smart, if needed. This COULD actually be a really, fun offseason (or a really disappointing one, time will tell.)

Danny is a shrewd guy. He is working it. FINALLY THE FIREWORKS WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR ARE ABOUT TO GO OFF. Danny is operating like a wounded lion.

But I thought he wants to be on a contending team?
ainge broke the promise lol

And this is why nobody wants to come here I guess.

Well it's all business, we can't blame players for making their choices on where to go because this type of stuff can happen to them on the other end. I will miss Aron, he represented us well during his time here. Hopefully he gets the chance to go to a contender.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

I’m so sure Baynes is getting bought out by PHX. He’s a good dude. I think he ends up on a contender still. Like GSW haha

An early indication is that the Phoenix Suns may buy out Aron Baynes to allow Baynes to join a contender of his choice.
