Ugh.

We're 0 for 1.

So a man gets a contract of a lifetime and the first reaction to pout? This site sometimes......

What

Dude shot 27% from three last year at a position we have completely covered. There were some great pieces on the board.
Played most of the season with a torn ligament in his hand.

If he had shut it down at the time of the injury he could have been right there with Garland.

Good athlete, gets to the rim and line, good finisher, natural scorer , versatile skill set, if he can get that hand healthy and fix the jumper he’s a star. I’m delighted with that kind of upside at 14.

In terms of fit it makes no sense but when you aren’t a contender at 14 you have to go BPA and I think he was clearly the BPA at this point.

Love the pick think this kid has legitimate star potential and I think people will love him.
I like that some people are so in on Langford. Makes me feel like I'm missing something, which I am more than happy to do if he helps us ;D

He's trash.  Low motor=zero aggression and top of that can't shoot 3.  Is he our center now.  Singe sucks at talent evals

Absolutely terrible pick. We had Sekou at 14. Romeo would have been there at 22...

Took a guy at 14 that you could get at 20.

Our annual “guard who can’t shoot”.

Luckily, a lot of those guys — Bradley, Brown, Smart, etc. — developed a decent jumper.

I like the player. I don't like the fit. Hope he develops a 3pt shot. Welcome to the C's Romeo!

He took 125 shots from deep at Indiana. He hit 35. That doesn't inspire me. The modern NBA is about shooting and not much else.

I'm sorry if I'm not letting off fireworks.

Look, I hope he does well, and literally anyone in the first round can turn into Pascal Siakam, but he just doesn't jump of the page.

To be fair his hand was buggered

Romeo Langford took 14.5 shots and averaged 7.1 FTA per 40 minutes in college. If his impressive free throw collecting translates even a little, that’s an area in which he should help the Celtics

I think people are overlooking this skill, which we are definitely in need of. Hopefully his shooting improves with better health in his hand/thumb, but the fact that he can get to the hole and line at will is a really solid skill that we need.

He played 26 of 32 games this year with a torn ligament in his shooting hand. His form looks semi decent and his highlights from the duke game seem to show he can be engaged at times. I am going to reserve judgement. Was a top 5 prospect out of high school and in recent years we've seem to be able to develop player's jump shots. He can get to the cup too. Something we lacked terribly last year.

Didn’t RJ Hunter get a lot of FTs?  Those skills don’t always carry over when faced with stronger, faster defenders.

No issue with the pick.

Seems like a grifter with the way he plays. Plays tough and attacks the rim.

Like with all picks, summer league will tell if he is any good. Jk. Time will tell. He has tools to be good.

Played >80% of the season with a torn ligament in his hand and was very highly touted out of high school so star potential is there.

I like this pick. Can take it to the hoop, something we need more of.
