Celtics Offering Baynes for Cap Space

Good. Hopefully he gets to go somewhere where he can really contend.

I still like the Adams deal that was floated where we send Baynes to OKC and take the rest of Adams’ salary back in cap space. That’d work out for all parties involved.

That said - I wonder if we’re planning on making a run at a 7-9 year vet and that’s the reason to try and trade Baynes for cap space, but who would that be? The only names that come to mind that likely fit our current needs are Kemba, Russell, and Vuc.

I am guessing if they can't find a good way to keep the team a contender this year, they are doing Baynes a favor in trying to find him a team that could.   



The reason I think that is most teams are offering 1st round picks (or some other compensation) to get teams to help clear the cap.   The Celtics are looking for assets coming back.
