Ainge has to add a key player to that bench sometime this season - the Celts are missing Posey (sorry, they are) and don't have that hungry focus that past Celtic defending champs (Russell, Cowens & Bird teams) maintained.

to me Pierce still has to prove he belongs with those guys - all the bandwagoning aside.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

Regardless at the end of the day a win is a win...by next spring all we will remember is how many we won not the way they were won.

True.  I just worry if the last two games tell us anything about our team's long term chances this season.  I certainly hope not.
You are right there i hope not also.Remember early last season they won a few close ones they really shouldn't have.Remember the Bobcats in Charlotte. We really didnt deserve to win but we did.It was the 10th or so game like tonight.

Well Ray's put the club up three but how bad was it to play OT in a game they should have closed out.

Back to back on the road for 2nd games

8 games in 12 days. I know people hate using this as an excuse but that is ALOT of games in a short time.

The bucks just came off an overtime game against memphis and without their star, charlie V, and Bogut for most of the 4th and OT
sorry but no excuse is a viable one

I already see how you feel about it but I think it is. Did the Bucks play 8 games in 12 days?

Well, they've played as many games as us,   and have had more back-to-backs

They also don't have a big 3 in their 30s.

I just don't think 2 games in Nov. tells us anything esp. after such a long string of games together. Hopefully they will get some real practice time in soon.

True.  They were only playing without their best player. ;)

I agree he needs to get another vet to come off the bench with some energy,IQ,and focus. The bench is not only lacking energy at times but pure basketball IQ.They make stupid mistakes in crunch time.

iI just hope they are not starting that trend from last season not being able to hold on to big leads in the third and fourth.Maybe this is a wakeup call.As Doc said they just played 8 games in 12 nights without a real  practice. He said they will get some rest, get a good practice in before the Knicks on Tuesday. Also Doc giving Scal a lot praise tonight.

Was Donaghy on work release for the OT?  I've never seen such horribly one-sided calls.  Lucky to win with all that BS going on.

Once again, Rondo was non existent.  He had 2 pts and 6ass in 35 mins, while Luke Ridnour had 19 pts and 4 ass, shooting 5-7 FG and 3-4 3PG.  This is the second night in a row Rondo has got torched.  Perkins was also a no show, with 2 pts and 4 rbs .  We have got to get more production out of these two.  Rondo said he wanted to be a top 3 point guard, right now he's not in the top 15.  Marbury is starting to get more intriguing to me.

Boy what an ugly game tonight - Celtics were in deep trouble toward the end but managed to gut out a brutal, physical defensive game against a toughened up Milwaukee squad this year. Neither team had much left in the gas tank after this one. Celtics still have issues to resolve like turnovers and rebounding but Ray Allen was left in the end to make the FT's necessary to save the Celtics from blowing a 12 point lead after three quarters.

I'll take a Celtic win in Milwaukee anytime because this has been a miserable place to the Celtics.
