Crowder has three years left on his deal, making less than multiple guys picked tomorrow will make during that time. So the question is, in how many years do you think the #10 pick will be at least as good as Crowder is now, or rather than Crowder will be during the same season? The Celtics look to have at least 3 draft picks over the next few drafts that should be at least as good as the #10 pick, so getting young talent doesn't fill any kind of gaping hole in the team's future.
If you told me for sure that #10 would be as good as Crowder two seasons from now, I'd say sure, sign me up. But I frankly don't think that's likely with anyone picked at #10, and I don't really care if he's better than Crowder four years from now.
