Not sure I’ll be able to watch without seeing the Prince/Princess reaction after every play.  Seeing them clap was unique each time.

I was hoping one of the players would crash into them going after a loose ball.

I wonder if they’ll become fans (if they aren’t yet) after this game!

It’s too bad their kids didn’t attend.  I bet they would have been instant fans.

I heard they root for the Kings.

Adding to fun stats, the Celts are now shooting over 50/40/85 *as a team*. With a roster better known for defense and their 3rd best player, who shoots 70%, out.

Incredible start.

The Celtics are averaging 130/game over the last 5 games, and have scored at least 109 in every game this season, other than their blowout loss in CHI early this season.

Celtics are 43-8 in their last 51 regular season games with Jayson Tatum in the starting lineup.

Still hoping this lack of defense is just an effort thing and also missing rob Williams. That heat team without butler just stayed in striking distance and shot amazing.

It's just the Celtics offense is just at a ridiculous level right now.

But I'm not too worried about it yet. I remember watching the 2010 team go from average to tight defense in the playoffs.

I’d be less worried about the defense if they showed signs of being able to turn it on when they need it. Like any team, they can ratchet up effort but I haven’t seen evidence that they can produce the defense they worked so hard to master last season. I don’t think they’ll just find that again. They need to work at it.  No doubt Rob will help though.

They dialed it up when they needed in the end. The Strus shots were defended but he just hit them, and the PNR thing was a schematic thing which Rob will help a lot. The only real bad thing I saw were the open corner threes we gave.

I agree...but it's essentially the same team. So you have to imagine the ability is still there.

Was just concerning to me how their role player scrubs played. Too bad we didn't keep struss..

What I'm seeing is that they are consistently winning when the other team plays a really great game.

They are improving fast, but RWill is coming back, Jaylen can take another step, some of the bench still has an upside, and their defense can tighten up considerably.

I wonder what the ceiling is here?

After some hiccups the first week or two they've really hit their stride. I'm hoping for a game, kind of like tonight, where they are challenged a bit and have to respond. That's where you really learn how much they have improved.

Depends on how much value they place on getting the best record and that comes down to the collective mindset of the team. It is more important to enter the playoffs healthy but the team's two best players are still ascending and they have a rookie coach who I'm sure figures he has something to prove. But it will be interesting to watch.

Personally I think they could win close to 70 if they want to - and if they stay healthy. But that won't make it any easier to win the title. The playoffs are still what matters.

I mostly want the 1 seed and home court thru the finals. The win total is gravy
