Thats fine. They should give him as long as he need, be very cautious, then add two weeks on to whatever that is. When he comes back he should rest b2b's, strict minutes limits at no more than 25 in the regular season and honestly stay home on one game road trips sandwiched between home games. Literally whatever it takes to keep that guy healthy.
The c's don't need him to get a top 2 seed, they may win 60 games without him (barring other injuries). But they need hm come playoff time.
