The Lakers do need another big.  They should trade Ball for a big and a pick, second choice would be Ingram for a much better big...

Lakers would need more than Morris and wouldn't consider it unless it was the Sac pick and the Kings were 0 and 9 or so at the moment...

The Celtics would suffer for a while...where and when would Ingram play?  We are a wing glutted team.  More trades would be necessary...

Considering I'm a still a big fan of the Sac pick (the only pick to give this deal a chance), I wouldn't do the trade...

The Celts need Morris' toughness as well as his offense...very hard to replace.  Morris is the perfect storm player of the moment for these Celtics...like Posey in 2008.

Lakers just got Tyson chandler

Ingram is their most valuable asset. They aren't going to give him away for a bench guy

Lakers would say no, but also why in god's name would we get another forward when Zion's coming next year???
My pic is now, and will be Fab Melo until he posts his first official NBA dbl-dbl. This may be permanent.

Because there’s a roughly 80% chance we have no shot at Zion?

The Kings or the Sixers are going to have to get a lot worse before we can dream of Zion

we do not need more glamour stars - we need to keep our hard working rotational guys. they are often the difference in a championship team.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

I like the Posey comparison - right on target.

We definitely need more grit. I think that’s something that is a key difference between us and some GSW teams. They’ve always had Draymond + a big rim protector, Bogut being the most noteworthy of those.

Hopefully we can keep Marcus Morris and somehow nab his brother. That would be the meanest bench in the league

Why would we ever want to help LA, this is a bad trade for us, period.

LA can rot.

There is an 80% chance Zion is Bill Walker... but that other 20% is fascinating.

Why do you think he's a star?  He can dunk nicely?

Why the hell would Lakers do this? They could just offer him a contract next year. And Ingram is on bargain rookie deal.

No, but his athletic profile is almost never before seen. To say all he can do is dunk nicely is very ignorant of his handle and his ability to get inside, which is something this team struggles immensely at.
