Kyrie elaborates on his statement "Shout out to my man Tommy Heinsohn. He got me in shape" in his post game interview with Abby. For those who didn't know Tommy had said Kyrie looked a couple pounds overweight and that was probably why he was half a step slow.

Kyrie basically said "It was the truth and I needed it, it was the most honest thing anyone had said about how I had been playing"

I can never quite tell how serious Kyrie is being, but I hope this is one of the times where he's being genuine.

Love Tommy

So Kyrie listened to Tommy and dropped weight and got in shape that fast?  I wish it was that easy for me.

Whoa there. I guess if he spends a decade here, wins 3 or so championships and averages right around 20-25ppg, 5-7apg and 3-5rpg he could get in the argument for top 5-10, but top 3 is over the top.

Russell has a bucketload of championships, is a top 2 rebounder of all time (around 4000 ahead of Moses and Kareem), and is perhaps the best defensive player of all time.

Bird is one of the smartest, most skilled and toughest players to ever play, and Kyrie will never touch his peak. He might touch his success though.

Hondo was the best offensive player on nearly a handful of championship teams, and at his best was averaging LeBron-like numbers with efficiency that would stand up in today's game.

He could maybe overtake the likes of Pierce, Cousy and McHale if he did what I mentioned above. But I don't think it's likely.

I never thought he looked out of shape this season but I did think he looked tired. Not in his movements but when we got close ups when he's shooting free throws I thought he just looked exhausted.

Honestly, he still doesn't get past guys as easily as before. He was never super explosive, but he's been having a little trouble getting around guys cleanly, even big guys when they get switched. Looked a little better in the last game, but not back to where he was yet.

On the other side, he picked up his defense (probably out of guilt for his poor offensive performance so far). Similar to how he started out last year. Hopefully he keeps it up for longer this year. Especially if he can afford more rest with Smart and Rozier handling things while he's on the bench.

At first, I thought he was being sarcastic. I'm glad to see he's able to take constructive criticism from a knowledgeable source.
