It happens whenever one of the fan favorites departs - you should have been here the nights the Allen and Garnett trades went down.

As Green and Krstic continue to play well, it'll die down. It always does.

You should have been here (you may have been, I don't know) for the few years leading up to the trades. Things are awfully mild compared to then.

like all the awful "Gin" Baker posts--the pro/anti antoine posts, Raef, Ricky Davis...we were all so harsh back then. I usually just lurked cause it was so awful

When I heard about the Ray Allen trade (before the KG trade), I was so upset I sent a nasty email to Wyc, saying he was a sorry owner for approving such a trade.  Of course, I was wrong, but fandom causes us to make fools of ourselves sometimes.

I just do it more often than most. The privilege of being older.

That's great! I remember thinking Ray was too much like Pierce for it to work--wow was I wrong!

Any time an issue sharply divides fan opinion, there will be sniping as some feel the need to belittle the opinions of those who disagree.  It's unacceptable, though, and won't be tolerated by the staff.  Folks need to remember that it's possible to disagree civilly.
