Spam Prevention: 1 day delay for registering for front page

Just an FYI to everyone (especially the mods)

The spam on the front page has been unbearable and I asked around and found a solution.

There is now a 1 day waiting period when a new user registers for a new front page account.  This prevents spammers from signing up for a new account and immediately spamming the site.  Other SBN bloggers say it is very effective.

Sorry for the hassle for new users signing up but most of you have accounts by now anyway so it shouldn't effect too many people (and even then, just once).

I have been just deleting it...it is my new hobby!  Guess I will have to find a more productive one.
